Sturdy enough but not very practical
The product seems well built and does what it says but it is hard to refill, the wood burns up too fast and we just stopped using it in pretty short order. Didn't work out for us.

easy to clean out
previously put the wood chips into an aluminum tray, but ashes were always floating around. With this, everything stays contained inside until you empty it out. Works great.

Perfect Pulled Pork on a Gas BBQ!
Brilliant - Does a good job. It took us a while and a lot of research on the internet as to how to use it properly and we realised that it is not supposed to burn for the whole cooking time. You also need to soak the wood chips in water for a couple hours before putting them in and the smoker needs to go under the grill on top of the burner before you heat up to full heat and then pop the meat in and turn the burners off under the meat and reduce the burner down under the smoker to bring it back down to around 275F then continue cooking until very tender (falling apart). This we found for a pork shoulder can take up to 8 or 9 hours or more so you need to start early in the day or you will be eating at midnight! We also discovered that it is wise to have a small bowl of water or apple juice in the grill next to the meat as it stops it drying out. Then sit back and enjoy yourself and in about 8 hours pop some sauce on with a brush another 30mins with sauce on to caramelise and there you have it perfect pulled pork on a gas bbq!
