Q: What is ment by converting old style to new style. And have these been presure tested at the factory?

Old style lp tanks used internal threads, new style utilizes external threads.

Q: How long can this product be used?

I do not know. I purchased this to hook a 20lb. tank to a space heater and have not used it yet.

Q: Can you use this hose to refill 1# bottles from 20# bottles?

No. There is a special adapter that you need to refill 1lb. bottles but research the steps carefully. There are many youtube videos that show the method incorrectly and can be very dangerous.

Q: Can I use this for a dual fuel hookup for my generator

Your dual fuel generator should have the connection for a 5 gallon propane bottle. If not I don’t see why this wouldn’t work. But as always check the manufacturers suggested connections.
