I really like Mahatma brand and I think rice brand matters. This is good rice.

I cook and bake extensively. All of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare, including home cooked meals for our Faithful Canine Companions. I use a lot of brown rice with both human and doggie meals. Mahatma Whole-Grain Brown Rice never disappoints! Always fresh with a delicious nutty flavor. Versatile for use with any meal.Storage Tip: I recommend storying the uncooked brown rice in your freezer for maximum freshness.Preparation Tips: I recommend rinsing the brown rice well before cooking.- I have found that cooking in a rice cooker as I do produces the best results. After the rice is done, leave it for 15 minutes on the cooker's warm setting before opening the lid. This makes for the best tender and fluffy rice (see photo).- I add a drizzle of unfiltered olive oil and a few pinches of dried herbs to the rinsed rice before cooking. I use tap water when cooking the rice, but you can also use your favorite broth for additional flavor.Freezing Cooked Rice: To make your meal preparation more efficient, this cooked rice freezes beautifully in covered containers so you always have some on hand. Simply microwave to warm it up, or use it in a tasty stir fry.A terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product

I make homemade dog food & need brown rice frequently. I don't buy big huge bags at local membership stores because the rice doesn't stay fresh. I cook the rice as I need it. Sometimes I cook up a whole bag and freeze it in smaller containers. But I want FRESH food for my dog. I opt for the best value I can find. While I normally get it at my local grocery store, I popped for a bag on Amazon because I was running low and didn't have time to get to the store. I would buy organic brown rice but it's also hard to find in stores.Arrived quickly, untorn, and my dog loves it cooked with sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, and bone broth. Then I add in a good protein source like lean ground lamb or turkey. Sometimes beef. No chicken for my dog. We also eat it in several recipes so it's good for all of us.

This rice takes a few extra minutes to cook, but it is higher in nutrition than traditional white rice, and has a slight (nuttier?) flavor that goes well with everything I have served.Apparently brown rice retains some of the rice-bran oil, and it can go rancid if stored for a long period of time. So I will not order large bulk for my "prepper" pantry. But I do recommend it!

El arroz al parecer anda dañado, tiene cositas dentro de la bolsa y al cocinarlo sabia raro.Jamás pensé que me pasaría esto 😕The rice is apparently damaged, it has little things inside the bag and when cooked it tasted strange.I never thought this 😕 would happen to me.
