Tailgate access with 90 degree turn!
**18 month update - We have been using this for about 18 months now and I’d like to report that this jack is still going strong. We’ve taken the trailer out about 1 a month, sometimes twice. The drop shank on this model is awesome as I pull the pin, get it to drop to the ground or as close to the ground as possible and then put the pin back in. This saves a good amount of time as the jack has to travel a lot less to get to the ground and start lifting the trailer. Same for when it’s retracting. I pointed this out in my original review, but the fact that you can rotate this 90 degrees and install with the controls to the side has been a lifesaver. I have access to my tailgate when the trailer is connected. Overall I am still very happy with this electric jack.*Original review - The multiple options for mounting the trailer jack make this an awesome choice. See below for more on 90 degree turn for tailgate access. I used this to replace a manual jack on my 2018 keystone passport travel trailer. Took it out on one trip and purchased this electric jack the week after. Wish we had it for our first trip out.Install was super simple, took maybe 15 minutes. Attached the trailer to the truck, removed the old jack, installed the new one, and ran the power. That was it. Install was super simple. At first I was worried the the mounting holes and plate were not the standard triangle like some of the others, but then I realized that the round plate with multiple holes allowed me to install the unit in a way that would allow for tailgate access when the trailer is attached. I also now have the buttons on the driver side which is pretty cool. The light is now pointing to the side, but not too big of a deal as the trailer has a light for hitching up the trailer in the dark.So far I’m pretty happy with this, especially because I was able to do the 90 degree install without having to modify the head of the unit. There are a few YouTube videos out there where people take the top head of the unit off and move it to the side. I think just turning the trailer jack works out much better. So far so good. I’ll update the review if anything changes with the jack.

Very well made and fast!
This jack lifts much faster than the stock unit. The power head is much smaller than the original. Add to that, ability to install at 90 degrees provides a lot more clearance to the open tailgate. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Bulldog Jack with Jack-It Bike Rack
I just installed this and it was pretty simple. I needed something that would work with my Jack-It bike rack. I measured 22.5 inches to the bottom of the bike rack and the Bulldog Jack was about 20.5 inches tall from the frame of the trailer to the top of the power head. All in all quality looks decent, however I did decide to replace the screws that it came with that were for bolting it to the frame. The manufacturer states they are grade 5 bolts, but I can assure you the washers, lock and flat were not. Since these are critical to the unit I replaced them with grade 8 bolts and washers, seems like cheap insurance. All in all it seems decent, however there is an issue that you need to be aware of. The unit comes with a crank in the event you can’t power it up and down, the issue is that if you have the Jack-It bike rack in place you won’t be able to fit the crank into the hole and manually raise the jack. I think I have a work around by removing the top section of the bike rack (one bolt and pin) and putting a longer crank handle through the hole. I am looking at two different crank solutions, I will post pictures when I see which one is the simplest. Happy Camping.

No more hand cranking 160 turns on 4000 lb trailer!
Easy to install once the trailer is properly blocked. Can be rotated to miss propane tanks or truck tailgate. Works well, and is much better than manual crank. Excellent instructions, all parts needed are included except the electrical connector, which will vary with vehicle. Says it is rated for 3500 lbs, which is plenty for trailer with 5-700 lb tongue weight.

Good quality, easy to install
Good quality, been using a lot for last month, works well. Easy to install but power wire wasn't long enough, I had to splice a piece of the old wire onto the new one to get enough length to install. This last part of the installation took far longer than removing the old electric jack and installing the new one. It seems chintzy of the manufacturer to not make the power wire a couple feet longer. Otherwise, good electric jack for the price.

So far so good
Read many reviews. Seems all of the jacks have had some sort of issue. This was a replacement for me. 1st I was able to install 90 degrees off which was very good. If the truck is straight, I can lower the tailgate and it just clears the jack. 2nd, I ran the unit numerous times before our trip to make sure it worked. Seems to be quieter and stronger than the one I had before. Speed is pretty good. Your not going to get speed and torque with these units. I"d rather have the torque. Also it uses frame ground. I sanded all mount positions (which I had with the old unit) and treated with DC4, or die electric grease. As I only got this at the end of the season and cycled it maybe 15 times, it looks like it's going to be a good one. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I'm covering the head unit now which I did not on the old 1 .

Way better than hand cranking
Super easy install; three bolts and a single wire. You can't get much easier. If I drop the extendable foot down before jacking the trailer, it takes about as much time as a hand crank. This won't save you time, but it will save you effort. I mounted it on my 5x8 dump trailer, which I use weekly. Wish I had done this sooner. I did get a cover for it for longevity sake.Update: still working perfectly. I do cover it to protect the head from the elements. Wish I installed this sooner.

Super fast and easy to install
After having a mishap with our old jack I bought the Bulldog brand for their reputation of quality. This one did not disappoint one bit. It works perfect on our 32 foot travel trailer. It was extremely easy to install and wire. It actually works better tgan the stock jack that came with the trailer. It dose not seem to struggle as hard to pick it up and it is a little quicker. I would definitely recommend it to anyone tgat needs to replace their old jack.
