Wow used this after my plumber canceled to replace my hot water tank, and was in a bind. Tried sharkbite before but never really happy with the connectors. I used this for the first time and wow what a game changer. Thousands less than electric units, but just as powerful and the jaws never got stuck. Great addition to my tool collection

I am a do-it-yourselfer. I have been working up the courage to do some plumbing tasks in my house. This crimping tool has made it so easy to create joints on copper pipes, that I am now super- confident. I have already completed a pretty complicated (for me) replacement of an indoor ball valve and outdoor garden hose sillcock using this tool, and no leaks!!

I think this is a decent tool to do a few press fittings.Pro’sAutomatic name-brand press tools are easily $1000 or more. This is a nice low cost alternative if you only have a few press connections to do. Strangely, none of the tool rental places near me have a press tool to rent. I have no idea why.The tool worked well to make good press connections.ConsYou need quite a bit of force to make the press connection. If you are not strong, or working in an awkward location where you can't get leverage, you might not be able to complete the press connection.This doesn't work very well in tight spaces, most notably because of the comment above.Someone else had mentioned difficulty getting this to work around the short end of a tee. I see what they're saying, IF you try to do it with the press wide open. I got it to work by closing the press a little bit until it just barely fit around the tee, then I was able to complete the connection.I recommend this product if you're an experienced DIYer with strong grip strength working in an open space.

I needed to crimp some 3/4 inch connections. I first ordered the IBOSAD unit based on ratings and number of reviews. There was a delivery problem and Amazon cancelled and issued a refund. So, I ordered the AMZCNC similar unit, After I ordered it the delivery date also was adjusted. I became concerned about delaying my project if it was late or didn't perform etc, so I hedged my bets and ordered this IGeelee unit. Glad I did. The AMZCNC did arrive per the revised promise date but when crimping, it seriously shaved and smeared copper, one die half was stuck incredibly tight on the fitting, wasting a good amount of time figuring out how to break it free and; at test, it leaked. The IGeelee did a little smearing of copper but not serious, the dies released and the connections sealed. I was able to go over the crimp made with the AMZCNC and seal it also. The dies of my IGeelee are plated, even though the picture shows black finish, the AMZCNC were black. I think the plated dies have better finish and lubricity which probably helps. Anyway, for now mission accomplished thanks to this tool. I haven't used the 1/2" nor 1" dies.

Jaws and dies too wide to crimp some fittings: Viega tee fitting center arm, the 90 degree fitting I bought at Ace Hardware.the hydraulic press itself works well - my daughter successfully used it for lots of pipe connections while replumbing her basement. But I had to solder all the tee joints. Neither she nor I appreciated that.The tool’s jaws are bulky, hampering use when pipes are close to walls and beams.

I really enjoy this product.It did well in using the Viega Pro Press 90 elbow.The best part of this product was easy to assemble and was able to use right away.I don’t have too much bad to say about this product. I used it for this particular job as I continue to use it I will update my view of this product & for now, it was worth it & great price!

A bit skeptical of this product for price but it worked great for what I needed it for fairly easy to use
