I bought this set along with the Stone Lain Matte Black dinnerware set because it doesn’t come with smaller bowls.In terms of color, this is not a matte black it’s more of a polished look and has a very slight brown color to it making it off color to my other dinnerware. It’s not very noticeable unless you’re really nitpicking.I thought these bowls would be a little bit larger, but they are considered dipping bowls, so that’s my fault for thinking that.The reviews are right, these bowl do not stack nicely, I would only stack it 3 high otherwise you seriously run the risk of them falling over and breaking. They are not all exactly the same size.That said, I do really like these bowls and they will definitely come in handy for dipping nuggets (or anything else). They are also helping me with portion controlling my desserts as you can see in my pictures.

I got these to use as dipping sauce bowls and ingredient/prep bowls for spices. They work great for both purposes and seem like they'll last quite a while. Top rack dishwasher hasn't damaged them. I'm quite happy with them. The only complaint I have is that they don't stack snugly so I basically have two haphazard stacks of 3 bowls in the cabinet instead of a neat tower of 6.

I love these. I use them for holding dipping sauce and they do just that while also looking good. I also have dark dinnerware so this matches perfectly with the rest of my set.

Update: although these look fine, these seem to chip quite easily! I have never chipped a dish like this before, but two of them have chipped in one week :(These are nice enough little dishes. They're a bit too small for banchan for two, but would be fine for banchan for one. (Then again, when it's just me, I usually use a single plate for banchan)But the critical flaw was already noted in other reviews, and I missed it: they don't stack in the cupboard. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Annoying.

I love these! They are adorable, have a clean and masculine look yet feminine at the same time. I know it doesn’t make much sense but the lines are clean. They have the perfect depth for sauces or ginger/wasabi as a side dish to a meal. HOWEVER, I’ve only had mine less than 24 hours and I already dropped 1 of mine 😭 it didn’t shatter which was great but it did break into 3 pieces. I’m sad. At least I still have 5 left.
