I'm not sure what you mean by "power blocks". I use mine mostly for deadlifts

Absolutely, they should help you a lot when wrapped around the bar/handle opposite your palm and the end wrapped back between your palm and the bar. I use these on my pull day and with the volume I do my grip eventually gives out, but these grips make it possible to get a good full workout in.
