Your Redemption Is Finally At Hand!!
Ok guys. I'm here to give this speaker a solid shot at redemption. The two functional illiterates that commented before me, have unnecessarily given this product a really bad name. This is the biggest problem with car audio reviews. Most of them are written by people who really haven't got a clue as to what they are doing. If you bought these at $26 bucks and thought you were going to get JL Audio quality, you're kidding yourself. But don't let these goobers sway you from buying a very honest and decent set of budget speakers.I used these to build a set of shop speakers. Now, in full disclosure, I did receive one broken speaker in my first AND second set. The center pole piece sticks out above the frame just a bit and is very vulnerable to the evil clutches of the Fed-Ex and UPS package smashers. So it took me two sets to get one non-broken pair. But after some gorilla glue and some patience, I was able to repair the two that were damaged. By the way, it's worth mentioning, that when I made the claim to Q-Power to inform them I had received a damaged set, they were very polite and courteous. They did ask for a photo for proof, understandably, which I quickly sent them and within the hour, they had sent me an email letting me know that a second set was on the way! They didn't even ask me to return the broken set!!! WOOO! So for my troubles I essentially got a pair for free. Though it probably would have cost more in shipping to return them, than the cost of the speakers.Anyways, on to the speakers. If you're looking at 4 way or 5 way speakers, you're buying a lie. Many of those designs incorporate fake tweeters to give you the illusion that you're getting more for your money, when you aren't. You're buying some colored plastic fakery! These are true 3 way speakers, look under the plastic and you will find two decent sized magnets and crossovers under the mid and tweeter. This is probably the reason for the pole piece clearance issue. So, I built 2 very large boxes with 3/4" MDF, housed two in each cabinet, lined the inside with acoustical foam, wired in series to an 8ohm load, and powered them with a vintage Kenwood power amplifier. Upon initial listen, I was very disappointed. Sound was harsh and the bass was virtually non-existent. But I remembered that most speakers do require a break-in period so I gave them about a week of play time before I came on here to trash them. Now I can confidently say, they are fully broken in. Response is much smoother, bass reflex finally loosened up and the low frequencies are now very present and commanding. They do take a little bit of EQ to flatten out some of the peaks but this is true even of more expensive brands. I am so pleased with these now, that I may decide to incorporate some 12's into this rig and build some awesome man-cave tower speakers!! I listened to a wide variety of genres on these things. Everything from dirty punk to world class orchestral pieces. I officially knew the break-in period was complete when I was blaring some soundtrack music in the shop, and I got the goose-bump effect! I would not hesitate to watch movies or play video games on these, now!!Truth be told, I am now strongly considering these for my car. I docked one star for the hassle of the broken stuff, but if you are patient, and don't have 2 digit IQ's **cough** cough** other reviewers** cough**, these will eventually outperform your expectations. It did for me. For the money, you can't beat it! Buy a couple sets and have fun with them. Just remember what you are buying, and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Garbage
Waste of money, definitely not a 500w RMS. It's a garbage speaker and blew within 3 days. Don't buy this. Save your money!

Nothing wrong with these on budget! Get'em!
First day impressions- don't over power and they sound good. Crisp vocals, snares, etc. Sound pretty clean for the price. of course they are only still breaking in but only expecting them to sound better; like i said just dont over power (700w) lol, expect about 110w 3 ways😉. Ill come back and bump the stars to 5 if they make it past a few months.
