Do not use this for the VGA out, not reccomended for tablets, otherwise good
This USBC adapter mostly works well. All the ports and outputs work, provided your USB C adapter can provide enough power to it. The main issue I have with it is that that VGA output on this is very bad. The signal is noisy, there's flickering, banding. It is unusable. I would recommend a different adapter if VGA out is important to you.I bought this for our Surface Go (Gen1), and HDMI does not work for it. It was working for a while, but I suspect a recent update killed it, and have not been able to figure out if there's a setting that will fix it.Other than that, im currently using it as a port replicator, for a work laptop, and its more suitable to that vs for a tablet or the surface tablet product, just because the cord is so short. With the laptop, at least it will lay flat, but on a surface tablet, it will hang, causing strain and stress on the cable and connector.

Product is not suitable for non-apple laptop. Also, does not work.
Due to COVIT lockdown could not return the product within 10June. Also, did not find any other suitable return options. The product is not suitable for IBM Laptop. Also, no warranty seems available through as per Australian regulation 2 years warranty is required. There is no option to claim warranty.

Connectivity problems
This adapter is made in a weird way seems like the usb ports are so tight that i had trouble to figure out if it was not a usb port or if it wasn't functional. It's so tight it has to go in at the right angle or it won't fit. Also, i have a vga connected on the adapter with a usb. If you add another usb on the adapter, it seems it is confused which one is connected. It has a lot of ports but connectivity seems to not be constant.

Almost blew the battery in my brand new Macbook Air 2019
I plugged my hard drive, printer, and VGA monitor into it and instantly the computer shut down all USB ports declaring that too USB 'devices' were drawing too much power. I immediately unplugged everything. After a few hours of tech support and fearing my laptop was dead, I reset the SMB and got the ports working again and did a system scan finding the battery was ok. Returning this for a reputable brand. Bought an Aukey hub and no problems.

This was an adventure
Okay listen, when I first saw a female USB C port on my laptop I was absolutely mind blasted and could not figure out for the life of my what device could connect to this port. A male port.... I understand... I could connect my phone or something. I refused to surrender to Google and let my pride consume me.However, over the course of this endeavor I learned about USB C hubs. 3 port, 5 port, 7 port, 9 port. So I became obsessed with getting the highest number of USB 3.0 ports, I needed a vga because I've got a crappy monitor, and I wanted an hdmi for either a TV or a better monitor.Anyways to end the story, after browsing many Chinese suppliers of these devices and comparing the prices versus functionality I came to the conclusion that this particular usb C hub, has all the required functionality that I needed. It also boasts a sleek design, and an additional USB C port for further hub adaption. Honestly the build quality is good, metal. The ports are sturdy. The price, when compared to hubs with only 1 more additional port of some kind will sky rocket the price to the hundreds. This is definitely an over 100 dollar product considering all the ports and the Amazon Prime.I would highly recommend this, it's worth the money and if you need some extended functionality to add to your machine, this will help.I still don't know what other use USB C female ports have.
