The ONLY pine tar I will use for my homemade soap.
I have found this pine tar to be the best and only pine tar to use for my homemade pine tar soap. It has just the right "campfirey" smell that I like. I have tried other brands and they just don't cut it. Auson pine tar is the only way to go.

Good stuff
Arrived quickly. Nice consistency. Thick but pours at room temp. Pictures are eastern red cedar with two coats of 50/50 turpentine and linseed oil followed by a coat of 40% turpentine, 40% linseed oil, 20% pine tar. It has absorbed and dried in the pics. Even at 20% the mixture looks almost black but soaks in and dries lighter. I'll probably add another coat at 30% and see how it looks. Fair warning, you'll smell like a burning pine stump by the time you're done.

Pine Tar Extract for Wood Treatment
This product was purchased for treating wood items. This pine extract is combined in equal parts with gum turpentine and burnt linseed oil. It leaves the finished look wood grain pattern while protecting the wood from decaying fungus as well as insect damage. I will purchase it again.
