Best Shave Ever! Safe for Black Men.
I am pleasantly surprised that as a Black man who has to be careful of his shaving techniques, because of the potential problem of pseudofolliculitis barbae (razor bumps) I can use this everyday. I researched shavers that are recommended for Black men. This one came up, and was highly rated outside of Amazon. I may even have seen it as part of the testing program at Consumer Reports.I have shaved for nearly 50 years. This is my first rotary shaver. I had to replace my MG7750, which would no longer take a charge. I never knew that I could have as clean a shave a trim as I have enjoyed with this one, to the point where others are noticing the diffeence in my appearance.I do not use the charging cradle, because the top-heavy design of the shaver makes it wobble. I am happy to maintain blissful ignorance of the shaver's durability. I just plug the charger cord directly into the port on the shaver and lay it on its back.I only charge it once a week, and I use it daily. It is unplugged when not charging. I do this to extend the life of the battery. As stated above I only need to plug it in once a week, and it is always ready by the time of my next shave. I tried to make a video showing how clean a shave I get from it, but it disappeared after I recorded it.It is a great value, a good, bump-free, burn-free, fast shave. You can be done, head and face, in three to five, if you are perfectionist as I am, or less if you are neuro-typical.It cmes with a case in which you can fit all of the accessories. Cleaning is easy. ISince I do not have a cleaner, I remove the blade array, tap it lightly on the sink, the clippings come out and I discard them. The manufacturer recommends shaving dry for the cleanest results. They are right. I have a truly clean look, cleaner than I thought was possible without going to a professional barber on a daily basis.

Pretty good shaver; has a few design flaws
I bought this shaver to replace my previous one, a Phillips Norelco wet and dry electric shaver 8000 series (specifically S8950), which had served me well for many years. Unfortunately, it was dropped and got broken (the head was out of alignment and noisy).I wanted to just buy another identical model to replace it, but I was disappointed to find that it's discontinued. This product, the Series 7000, appears to be the replacement model for that same tier of product.-I have more gripes than positive things to say, so I'll get the complaints out of the way first:There's noticeably more drag against my skin, sliding the shaver head across my face.Maybe it's because of the texture of the surface of the head; maybe it's because there's simply more physical surface area on this head than on the old one.On that topic, the marketing material promotes the "nano skin glide" texture on the bezels, to help reduce friction, but lemme tell you what - you wouldn't need to worry so much about reducing friction if you didn't add a ton of UNNECESSARY SURFACE AREA around the bezels! That extra surface area is pointless. The expanded bezels serve no utilitarian purpose and they get in the way when shaving your upper lip, making it harder to get a clean shave all the way up under the nose. The 8000 series had such a sensible bezel design, it might even have been possible to minimize them even more, but instead they went the opposite direction and tried to make it look like Optimus Prime.I'm also not really a fan of the fact that the head flips open on a hinge rather than just popping all the way off like my old model. If I tap it against the sink edge to shake out the stubble debris, the hinge pops out and the lid falls off into the sink. The flip-up feature isn't actually helpful for ease of cleaning.Furthermore, I do not want to connect my shaver to an app on my phone. The only thing I want to connect my shaver to is a power outlet when it needs to be recharged.I don't need to pay more for a shaver with a built-in accelerometer and a web-connected app that tells me whether I'm waving the shaver in circles hard enough. I've been shaving my face for over 35 years and I know the angles at which the hair grows out of my neck far better than an app programmed by someone who hasn't even been alive that long. I can discern the effectiveness of my shaving technique by feeling my face with my fingers. I don't need an app to tell me how to do it better.-That said, here's what good I can say about it:It delivers the best, smoothest electric shave I've ever had.

Wowed! Best one I’ve had
This is probably the best electric razor I have had and I don’t say that lately because I have a tough beard with sensitive skin. Shaving is easy I really don’t have any irritation to speak of and with the addition of the Bluetooth live shaving monitoring. It works out pretty well. The battery life on the razor seems really well. I haven’t had to charge it now for a few weeks and I still have enough charge to do 10 shaves it actually tells me that in the app.I’ve been using it as a dry razor, but I did try it once as a wet razor and it seems to take a little bit longer to shave if shaving has a wet razor then it does a dry razor, so I’m probably gonna stick with it as a dry razor.

Quality Shaver
I get 16 shaving sessions, approx. 4 min. each, with one charge. Takes about an hour to recharge fully depleted batteries. To shave upper lip near the nose, you need to hold the shaver handle 90 degrees horizontal so the heads can reach closer to the nose. With a bit of practice this is easy. I get closest shave by moving the shaving heads against the whisker grain, this causes slight and very temporary skin irritation, doesn't bother me. Seems well-built, sturdy. The Amazon-recommended bundle that includes a wall-socket charger, which I purchased, I would not recommend, because the plug of this unit did not fit the shaver's charging socket, moreover this charger had a 15V rating, and the shaver manual calls for a 5V charger. This could cause a too-high charging current I believe. So I just use the supplied USB charger, it works fine. Over-all, I like this shaver, enjoy using it, I can recommend it with the caveats above in mind.
