I did not use this product on its intended vehicle but rather I used these on my 96 cherokee XJ. They look great. I did not use the included mounting hardware but rather just drilled holes for the screws to mount the vents. The included template is, dare I say it, dummy proof. I taped it down on my hood, took a knife around the lines of where to cut, drilled out the holes, removed template, put down masking tape, then finished up by cutting the holes in the hood for the vents to function. It does not sit perfectly flush but I imagine some 3m automotive tape will cure that.Update: A few months along and these are still great. I did use the 3M auto tape and it wasnt really worth it. I ended up taking some RTV gasket sealer and sealing the gaps where the vent did not sit flush. It seems to be the best way to make this product look perfectly flush. I have noted that my air conditioning really benefits a lot from having more heat escape and I am sure my custom cowl intake benefits too but I have no way to prove that.

These vents are meant for the Jeep TJ, JK, or LJ, but I put them on our XJ. These are one of the few vents that don't either take up the whole hood or look like home HVAC registers. Installation was easy, since it comes with a template to show your exactly where to drill and where to cut. These are plastic, but are thick, and feel durable. The vents have seemed to solve my heat soak problem, and the fan isn't kicking on as much as it used to.I would give it 5 stars if it fastened at the corners intead of the sides. They don't sit perfectly flush, but I plan on fixing that with some high temperature sealant.

Item arrived early. Installing needs tools and grinder. The product includes drawing pattern. The item is a soft plastic but visually adds nice attraction. You can feel the engine hot air venting out. It assist keeping the engine bay lowering the temperature. I installed this on my Challenger hood

Don't waste your money. I installed this on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport which included cutting two holes in my hood for these. They warped immediately and do not sit flush to the hood. Poor design, but I am stuck with them now since I can't very well drive around with them not on. I am saving up no to get enough money to buy another hood.
