Great quality for the price.
I have worked with top-of-the-line calipers at my job. I needed calipers for home use and was hesitant to buy these calipers. However, they are accurate for home measurements. They are also easy to read and use.

Good quality, great price & nice case!
My older calipers were worn and rusting, so I decided on stainless steel this time. Very nice quality, great price and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a nice case was included. The orange background in the product photo is actually a cardboard sleeve that fits around the plastic storage case.

Good quality for the price, a few issues but pleasant surprise
Received this today. Pleasant surprise as it included a case. I bought the non-digital version. It appears mostly well crafted, has a nice heft and slides smoothly and with little effort. Front side is silky smooth and inner and outer measuring surfaces smooth and very parallel. Back side is a bit rougher but not bad. The thumbwheel shown is just a grip, there is no rolling adjustment, which is a bit of a disappointment. The numbers and rulers are etched not just painted, which is good (they are not real dark, but are readable. The good news is the metric and english scales aligned; the bad news is that the zero point is off by about 2/1000th's. That's not enough to bother me, but is a bit disappointing. It does not appear adjustable (the things that look like hex screws look to be one-way screws which would be difficult to get out; not sure it would help as no evidence there is adjustability in the holes anyway. A check against a couple different rulers at 15cm looked to be correct by eye. The case is molded black plastic, nothing special, but a nice benefit. One of the inside measurement's tops was slightly damaged, just a couple more thousands off; I think I can fix it with a gentle tap but have not tried yet. Looks like it was hit against something bending the tip over just a bit. Very slight, usable as is for most things. It looks like stainless steel, but if so is likely ferritic as a magnet is strongly attracted to it (this also means if used a lot in magnetic fields it could become magnetic).I just received it so no comment on how well it holds up to corrosion, but by feel it will likely hold up well to casual use. For the price a reasonably pleasant surprise. This sounds like a critical review, but it is a LOT better than most of the junk in the $10 range, well worth the difference, if you do not want to pay $100+ for a top quality caliper.

Works good and no battery!
Decent fit and finish and works smooth. Agrees with my cheap digital calipers with only a 1-3 thousandth variance. Plenty good for the things I do.

Awful machining
This is a non-digital caliper; I've seen reviews for battery powered calipers under this listing but that's not what this is. It's not the easiest thing to use, since instead of reading directly off of a display you actually have to do a little math. I find that people's unwillingness to do math in their heads keeps them from "borrowing" my calipers.First, when I got the shipment it was an empty cardboard box. I contacted Amazon and they sent me another one with the caliper and case in a few days. ++ to Amazon. The machining is terrible. Rough surfaces, sharp edges, nothing is flat or straight the way you would expect on a precision measuring device. I guess for $20, you can't expect much. I still trust it more than I do a cheap digital one.The graduations are not etched onto the metal. It appears to be printed on a metallic tape. Probably good enough for hobby use or rough checks. I wouldn't rely on it for anything more accurate than 0.01"I can't say that I'm unhappy, since this was a cheap caliper to use at work so that I don't beat up my nice, German made one. Just don't expect to be doing any high precision/accuracy work with it.

Great Value
It’s not a +/- .00005 ($3k) Pair of Starrett calipers but they’re perfect for daily motorcycle shop use. Smooth and accurate.

Handy precise measurements needing NO batteries!
A handy and NON-ELECTRIC Vernier caliper that will read both metric and English lengths and depths with no need for batteries at all!One time I was taking a class in stone setting, and there was amiable bickering about whose caliper was the best- and the battery ones were easier to read, but as it happened, several ran out of batteries... and they borrowed mine. :)I will admit it's a lot easier to use in metric, but I almost always am working in metric, or on something where the system doesn't matter, so that's fine with me.Not quite as easy as a battery one, but it always works!

Good for the price.
Seems to be accurate, however, calling it professional quality is a stretch. For the price it is good and worked for my occasional use. the difference between this and a professional quality tool is the pseudo thumb wheel. On this tool it is a bump out to pushed or pulled with the thumb. a professional tool would have an actual thumb wheel which would allow easier control of opening and closing small amounts.
