Great fit . be sure to sand or wire clean where the bolts go for a good ground .

Need a longer belt
Great alternator I put this on a 5.3 LS in my 2004 avalanche and I can say you definitely need a slightly longer belt for sure

Lasted 2 days
Have an old Silverado. No performance crap, no subs, no extra heavy loads. Aftermarket alternators last me 2 years under normal circumstances in this truck.Tried this one because I know speedway, and it’s black so it looked nice. Voltage drops at idle to 12.4 volts. Surging back up when you touch the pedal. It makes the whole truck act strange.Can anyone make an alternator like the OEM that came on the truck. Guess not.

Good power for 5.3 vortec
One issue I had was I had to get a slightly longer belt but other than that I’m happy with the product

95-99 K1500 with the 5.0 or 5.7
The media could not be loaded. This alternator is a direct fit for the Vortec GM trucks 95-99You will need a slightly longer belt, AC Delco K06970. I chose the green HD version but you do not have to use the HD version.The oval 4 prong plug that utilizes the single brown signal wire is plug and play here.I am running a 2k watt amplifier and the voltage never drops below 14.4 volts no matter how many accessories you are running!Be sure to make a new power wire from the alternator to the battery!!!Use a minimum of 4 gauge OFC cable for best results.A new OFC ground cable would also be a huge benefit to this high output alternator!Excellent so far!
