Strobel Organic Keene Complete Padded Waterbed with Hydro-Support HS303 Waveless Mattress, Black Vinyl Queen

I was a 59 yr old woman by herself when purchasing this King Sized waterbed and I was able to put it together all by myself. I used a Dremel as a drill and an electric screwdriver. I would not suggest trying to do this without power tools, because there are no pilot holes. I'm glad there were no pilot holes because those are so often in the wrong place and weaken the wood. I found this to be a solid construction and have had no issues with it once assembled. The mattress is not waveless, just like the one we had in the 90's. I am sleeping GREAT every night - it is incredible! My body adjusts to the temperature in the summer or winter, so it helps with both seasons. People are wanting a taller pedestal, but I love it closer to the ground. I am absolutely in love with my bed and have had it over a year now. I will NEVER go back to a regular mattress! I use a buckwheat husk pillow with it for extra support. This is my #1 advice for anyone having sleep issues. Remember that you can always hire someone to assemble it for you - there's no shame in that! I do have a lot of experience putting together furniture, worked in set construction and took woodshop when I was young, so I am not sure my skill level is typical for assembly - but it IS possible!(I will add pictures from my phone. Please note the headboard was from my old set and this does not come with a headboard. ) the height is just right for my dog to visit - he will not jump up.March 18, 2025 - still love!! Zero issues!! This product was in stock at the time I purchased it, according to the Amazon listing. Its delivery status, however, was listed as "delayed" for a few weeks. After it did not arrive by the designated delivery date, I contacted Amazon and was told it had been out-of-stock, but was now back in stock. It finally arrived, but one of the boxes was damaged and the vinyl footboard inside the box was punctured. I contacted Amazon again and they were unable to reach the manufacturer, so they advised me to contact them directly, which I did. I got a very prompt response from the company, and the replacement footboard was shipped out the next business day. Then the assembly process began. The instructions were vague, to say the least. And the video on YouTube just showed two men assembling a bed, but there wasn't any speaking or offering instructions or tips on the assembly. It took me (71 years old) and my 92 year old mother two days to assemble it. If I were the manufacturer, I would review and improve the instructions, including dimensions for placements of the brackets. The screws included with the bed were self-drilling, but a number of them would hit something and not go in straight, which made assembly a bit difficult and frustrating. Also, to improve ease and time of assembly, it would be great if the bracket placements could be marked on the headboard, footboard and side boards. Better yet, pre-drilled holes. I emailed the manufacturer with a technical question regarding the heater control device, but did not get a reply. Overall, the end result is that I have a very comfortable waterbed which is working out nicely for my back and neck.

I slept in a waterbed for over thirty years. Then I had a SO that weighed 270 to my 115 and while I was on top of a water mountain he was bottomed out on the boards. He talked me into going to a foam mattress. Fast forward eight years of horrible sleep and being unable to move in the morning I said enough is enough and decided to get a waterbed again. I had no idea how difficult it is to find one now. I didn’t want to make my own although mattresses are easy to order. I didn’t want to pay an exorbitant amount nor drive hundreds of miles to find one.Thank you Stroebel for selling on Amazon!! The entire bed arrived at 530p last night by UPS. The driver was so happy to have the five HEAVY boxes off his truck and offered to bring them inside for me. My 90 year old mother gave me encouragement and oversaw the process and last night I slept blissfully like a baby in a cocoon!I had taken down and reinstalled waterbeds dozens of times and the process came back to me but I did watch a couple videos as I never had to do the initial hardware install. Easy peasy.Again, thank you Stroebel!! The bed came two weeks earlier than promised. Everything was packaged carefully and securely. Directions were clear and the video helped a little . They might want to add music or commentary. I don’t do the assembly like they do since it’s always just me assembling but I did use the L-bracket to get spacing right, I liked that simple idea. The rails are well made, vinyl tight and stapled securely. Even the base is vinyl wrapped. Much nicer than I was expecting. I don’t think the other not great reviews are accurate. They were only reason I hesitated. I do wish I had an option of fully waveless. My rescue cat had a coronary when he jumped up the first time and thinks the bed is alive. I would prefer waveless but am so #*&@ happy to have a waterbed again I am ok with a little movement.If you are looking for w complete waterbed do NOT hesitate…

Bed is simple to assemble, comes with every you need. Very comfortable almost waveless, which I think is better than waveless. The construction of the bad frame is substantial, the base is OSB but is solid enough.

Grew up on waterbeds. I have been looking for another one for a very long time and never could find one that I liked enough to purchase. One day I was browsing looking at different ones and came across this one. I'm so glad that I waited all these years to get another one. This one is by far one of the best that I came across and the price couldn't be beat. If god forbid something happens to this one I will defiantly purchase another one from this company

Product was easy to assemble, same as it was 30 years ago. They even provide a but for drill/cordless screwdriver. Only thing I would like to see is a few more 90 degree brackets for the king. I have not slept this well in decades. We have tried all different brands of memory foam(just do not hold up over time) and we had a sleep number bed as well. Well worth the price and delivery was super fast.
