Exactly what I needed and an upgrade to boot
I installed the screen a few nights ago in my Ford E-350 XLT extended van, replacing our previous 10" Fahrenheit screen. While, it was a relatively painless install, it did take some ingenuity to get it in correctly, but not a lot.The biggest pain for me was the mounting plate. It's not my favorite because the hole intended for routing wiring had to be under the roll bar, which is the only good place to mount the plate in my van. Ultimately, I ended up ignoring the manufacturer's direction of not having wires between the mounting plate and the unit. To be fair they do insist on a professional installation and I'm not a professional. Still, I was able to wire it up correctly using the previous unit's setup as a guide. There are a lot of wires on this thing, so it would have been nicer if they had a larger hole in the middle of the plate for routing wires through or had a routing hole on the other side. The RCA plugs and fuses were difficult to work with.I also ended up down at Ace Hardware to get longer and shorter mounting screws. The shorter ones (0.75") were needed in the front due to the screw holes being directly under the roll bar and only having 1/8 inch of threading to screw into. The thickness of the roof material also made it so I had to have longer screws in the back (1.5").I'm of the opinion that no installation is straight-forward, particularly in figuring out just how to mount this stuff, which is likely why the manufacturer strongly advises a professional install. Anyway, no stars knocked for this since they clearly state a professional should do it (and I'm not one).Once that was all figured out though, wiring was easy. The colors all matched up (I also confirmed the previous connections to the old unit and tested the voltage with a multimeter). I had a blue wire for the door trigger which in my van is the door+ wire on the XTRONS screen. From what I read online, it was safe to try out each wire (door+ and door-) to see which one worked. I then insulated the end of the door- with electrical tape to prevent accidental connections and also the unused RCA plugs. I taped/zip-tied the rest of the wiring to keep it bundled together or to shorten it and then pushed it into the roof cavity. The 6 RCA input plugs were the toughest part to handle and I wish there was a better way to stow them. Longer wires would have been preferred I think. If you're not ever going to use them, I recommend you just cut them and close the stubs over with electrical tape. I chose to keep them even though I only needed a video input though from my head unit for playing DVDs. Who knows, I may need a second input at some point (but I doubt it). Before I completed the install, I tested out the DVD player and the picture quality was WAY better than my previous unit at about the same size and as this was all the previous screen did (act as a monitor), I was more than satisfied. The lights on the unit are fun too and using the onscreen controls appears to be a breeze. I have not tried out the remote control yet other than power-on/off, but it did come with a battery (pull the tab to enable it). After the install, I took our Nintendo switch and its TV dock, plugged it into an inverter that I have (80W, more than sufficient) and then connected the dock to the HDMI port. The picture was crystal clear, even better than the DVD picture quality. I couldn't be more pleased. I did find that the volume control was not easily accessible, something that should be improved I think (a SW update please Xtrons?). However, I switched it over to using the FM transmitter and was impressed with the quality of sound I got. Certainly was better than I expected. I do not have IR headphones, so couldn't try that out.So, the only thing I'm concerned with now is how well this baby is going to hold up. I live in the Phoenix area and we're hitting 118 degrees right now. As this is next to the A/C vents and gets cooling from it, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to melt anything while driving, but I am concerned that it might get too hot while parked (it is attached directly to the metal frame/roll bar) and I noticed it was quite warm to the touch after sitting in the garage for a while (not even directly in the sun). I'll update this review if it should turn out to be wimpy to our desert conditions here. Hope this helps!

Touch Sensor Stopped Working after 4 months
Easy to mount, video and audio quality works great. It be nice if the monitor had a swivel so it can be rotated left and right.3 star rating becuz the touch sensor to turn on the screen stopped working after 4 months of light usage. The only time this monitor gets turned on is when we travel with the kids which doesn’t happen to often during this pandemic. Unfortunately refund/return has pass and doesn’t look like there is any tech support for it from Amazon, or the manufacturer or seller.

it has a clear screen and worked with the Chrysler factory headphones. 2006 town and country
This 12.6 inch unit worked with Roku stick and stock factory I/R headphones with my aftermarket JVC head unit. Mounting was straight forward but took some time to retrofit into the Chrysler roof rail system. I plan to place some insulation above the unit because the roof gets hot. time will tell how the unit functions going forward. If it functions a year from now, I will give it 5 stars! 2006 Town and country van.

Product doesn't last more than 3 weeks
Junk! Stopped working after about 3 weeks. The seller did replace it and the same thing happened again! Gotta give credit to the seller for sending another one after I sent it back but the product is junk! Not only out the cost, but cost of shipping back and cost of my time multiple times trying to fix it per their suggestions and then reinstalling it multiple times. Stay away from it.
