I debated on even purchasing this pillow just because it is so small. I'm now glad that I did. I put it on top of my pillow and it is actually very comfortable and it stays in place the majority of the time. I don't move much while sleeping, not sure if it would work well if you tossed and turned a lot. I sleep on my back the majority of the time but if I turn on my side it has definitely worked well as far as not smashing my face. When I first got it, it was a little too firm but after a little time that is no longer the case.

I had this pillow since June 2020, now nearing four months and I absolutely love it! At first, I purchased this pillow to prevent acne and wrinkles, but little did I know that it would go further to heal and prevent my neck issues. I always had problems occasionally waking up with a stiff neck due to some unforeseen consequences of sleeping in an awkward position on my pillows. This pillow is surprisingly comfortable! It really does not look like it will be comfortable, since it is not thick, perhaps approximately an inch and a half thick at most, but the material is amazingly lightweight, bouncy, soft and supportive. The shape of the pillow looks like the shape of an X or a wrench, but does amazingly well in supporting the neck and floating the face from rubbing up against the cloth for side sleepers. For back sleepers (since I do both), it does amazingly well in supporting the neck, even when you’re sleeping awkwardly and your face is slightly turned, so you don’t wake up with a painful stiff strain the morning after. At the time of purchase, I had this awful pain in my neck. When the product arrived within two to five days, It quickly resolved the stiff neck the next day. Had it not been for this pillow, my stiff neck would’ve probably lasted for a total of two weeks or more. The size is small, with the length about 20 inches and width about 16-18 inches, but it turns out that your head does not need that much space when you’re turning and moving around from the back to sides and vice versa at night. Plus, it’s so easy to move and adjust the pillow around to your liking because it’s so light.Regarding the acne and wrinkle prevention side benefits of the pillow, I do have to say that I’ve had few to no breakouts, especially on the sides of my face with frequent washing of the pillowcase and the benefit of the pillow’s shape. I also do the whole skincare routine on my own time, but I have to say that this pillow helps a lot in preventing acne overall. In regards to my fine lines, I don’t see any differences, but I also don’t see any more increases in occurrence. However, I do believe that this pillow will help prevent future fine lines around my eyes, since its shape aids in preventing the eyes from rubbing up against the pillow, especially for side sleepers.

The pillow is very flat, definitely needs another pillow to prop it up. However because of the alignment I have noticed waking up with headaches more frequent, sometimes neck pain, and now I believe it's causing TMJ dysfunction. Just recently I been having these issues and I didn't make the link until this morning, the only thing new in my life is the pillow, and symptoms started the around the same time. At first I thought it was great because now I could avoid smashing my face when I lay down since I noticed a wrinkle being caused by the way I sleep. Unfortunately I won't be able to use the pillow any longer. The idea of it is good just may not work for some people. Maybe I should of went for the larger one but unsure if it would still have enough padding without the assistance of another pillow.

I have had this pillow for 12 months now and a few washings. The first washing I soaked it in a bucket and air dried it in the Southern California sun because I was scared the fabric would run and it would be a mass of threads. The next time I washed it I put it in a lingerie bag and ran the washing machine on warm on the regular cycle. No shredding and both times it returned to its cushy softness. However this last time, post the cat attacking it, there was some shredding with the seamline opening where the cloth label was inserted. I don't think all of it was cat related. I gathered up what stuffing I could find in the washer stuffed it back in and hand sewed with running stitches along the seam line to secure it.I am familiar with the cotton version of this product and that one comes with a cotton pillow case and I have used that version for about 12 years buying a new one every couple of years. I ruined my last one by leaving the pillow case on when it went in the wash and that was the end of that pillow so I saw this one that was way less expensive than the cotton ones I had purchased over the years that they still sell. Now if you are thinking you can order a pillow case to fit this from the cotton one the company sells, it will not fit and is a different shape with the arms longer and at a different curve so you will have to live with it as it is coverless unless they start to make a cover for this one. I still had my old cotton one so I saw directly that the cover would not work.Now I have never used this pillow or the other cotton one they sell directly as described, that is on top of another pillow. I have only used it alone on top of the mattress without a regular pillow. My neck somehow feels better that way but my neck is, well, not the ordinary and straighter than it should be doctors say. I feel that it helps to prevent wrinkles along the nasal line but notice slight wrinkle line forming about an inch into my face from my ear that is vertical but it is only visible when I don't moisturize religiously. But I am in my 60's now and this is after using this type of pillow from this company for over 10 years. If I had only slept on my back, this would have not occurred, I would imagine.I currently have acid reflux so I sleep with a slant pillow and put this satin pillow on top. Unfortunately, perhaps because I am on my slant pillow, it is always on the floor by morning either because it is slippery or because of my slant pillow or both. At one year out on my updated review here, it is still worth it though I have had to baby it along now after a year. Maybe next time I wash it I will have to not leave it in so long in the machine and if I lose more stuffing perhaps picking up some of that at the craft store to boost it up. When it starts to hopelessly fray, I will have to let it go. The cat found a permanent loving home.
