A "must have" for new, intermediate, or experienced golfers
A friend lent me the Big Book of Basics to improve my game. He swore by it. After reading through it and following some of the lessons and drills, I agreed with him so much that I gave him back his copy and bought my own. Outstanding in every respect. The instructions are clear and concise, from basics like grip and elements of a good swing, to very advanced lessons on working your way out of rough or bunker trouble. Photography is picture perfect. Highly, highly recommended for all skill levels from novice to pro.

Awesome value
I just picked this up off of kindle because my golfing is less than pro:-). It seems like a super deal at under fifteen bucks. There are tips from one hundred pros, so if I can't improve at least a little from that I should try knitting maybe.

Has helped my game
Nice series of articles. They are well written with good diagrams and the best part is the section on the drills for each of the many lessons. As with any tutoring, you need to be patient and diligent. You can't expect to go out on the pro tour just using these. In just 3 months of use, my swing has become much better and over all play much more enjoyable. You have to stick with the lessons and practice. I enjoy the game much more now after using this series and would highly recommend their use for golfers at my level which is about a 25 handicap.

Read Chapter 2
If you want to truly understand how to properly swing your club, Chapter 2 is a must read. Using excellent photos and effective drills, Mike Perpich does a superb job of teaching the swing basics. If I could only have three golf books, I would select the Big Book of Basics, Tamayo's Swing Simple Secret and Scarff's Hit Down book. Combined, they give the reader a comprehensive instructions and a true understanding of the golf swing.

Simple lessons to follow.
This is the first book I have read that gives easy to follow step by step instructions! Even though it is for right hander and I am left handed I am still able to follow the steps. A great book for beginners!I would highly recommend this book!

A Beginning Golfer's Reference
A good collection of How-to articles written by teachers of golf. It's fairly comprehensive but doesn't address the club purchase and availability in the market. An enjoyable read and reference to play the game.

GREAT book, but a WARNING TO KINDLE OWNERS...
Good book...in print. But, it does NOT display at all on "non-Amazon" Kindles, and even on my Paperwhite 3G, it is absolutely unreadable, especially text around photos. I've bought well over 400 Kindle e-books, and this is the ONLY ONE that I've ever had to return for "quality issues". It will not display on anything properly.Buy the Print book...skip the e-book, at least until someone reprograms/reformats it properly for ALL devices.
