Great night sight solution for the MP5 or clones
I installed this in a PTR 9ct and the install went smoothly. Just tap out the pin from back towards the front and re-install in the opposite direction. The fit is very tight, I had to use a brass hammer to tap it all the way in but the tolerance is very tight and there is zero wiggle or play even before replacing the pin. The tritium shines brightly and it is a nice diameter, larger than most handgun front sight inserts. I have purchased many Meptolight sights before, especially the AR front sight post they make and the quality is top shelf. In the package you will receive the front sight post with the tritium insert and a replacement hood portion that replacing the current one installed in the front sight hood. It slides in around the post. I highly recommend this sight and is a must have upgrade for anyone running the MP5 in a home defense or duty role.

This is a big improvement over the stock site. Make sure to brace the gun in a vice at the front reunion area, because it not welded to the gun at the top.

Not bright at all.
Easy to install but I have one big complaint, These are dim!!! I would not suggest them. The machined parts are nice but the brightness of tritium is dismal.

Roll Pin Starter is your friend - great sight!
This is an excellent budget sight to throw on your MP5 or clone variant. I recommend you get a roll pin starter/punch to make your job easier on the installation.

Fits well on my ptr91, not bright enough so it did make a difference for me.

Hole is bigger than pin so sight was loose.
