JJ's Bakery Cream Pie Variety Pack Individually Wrapped On The Go Pastry Handheld Snack Pies (Pack of 6)

While the price is higher than I would like, these pies immediately threw me back to growing up in the 1980s when I would BEG my mom to get hostess chocolate pies. These are soooo good.The hard part now is not eating more than 1 per day.

Considering the price I was expecting something delicious but they were just average. Some of them definitely had a taste of artificial flavoring. I won't be buying these again. Maybe if they cost about half of what they were I might consider it but definitely not at this price.

When I received these, at first they looked fine. However, there was either something wrong with them, because when I ate the first one of these (I had half, my roommate had the other half of it), it promptly made me sick (within an hour afterward). My roommate had some issues, as well, but not quite as severe as mine. It tasted stale, to begin with, and the glaze had a funny taste to it. We ended up throwing out the rest of the box. What a waste of money!

They are good for that sweet tooth and for a snack. I think they are worth it and will order more for the convenience. Also, they taste good from the fridge.

It cost around $18-19, that comes out to about $3 each, but I liked them. I couldn't find them in my area, and it brought back memories. They taste good hot or cold. There were plenty of filling in each pie and it was sturdy, you didn't have to worry about it falling apart in your hand.

I ordered these about a year ago, but never ate any because my teenaged grandsons found them first. I did see the empty boxes.This time, I ordered the pies when I knew they were going away for Christmas vacation.I hesitated to order these, because there is a strawberry cream pie included and I'm allergic to strawberries. I gave that 1 to the dog. She thought it was great.There was no coconut cream pie, which is really annoying because this is the only variety pack it comes in on Amazon. Minus 1 star overall. (I expect to get what is advertised.) There were 2 chocolate cream pies, which is better than another strawberry.A lot of the pie boxes looked like they were sealed improperly, loose flaps, etc. Factory rejects? Minus 1 star.So far, I only tried the banana cream pie. It had a slight strawberry flavor at first, but got better. Then the banana flavoring tasted somewhat artificial. Minus 1 star.I would suggest to the seller that anything with a strong flavor (strawberry, peanut butter, mint) should be wrapped in plastic before being packaged with other flavors.

A little pricy. I could not eat them fast enough so I froze some, have not tried thawing and heating any yet. I may make another comment after I thaw and heat them for a few seconds in the microwave.....will test the cook time after thawed......however, the ones I ate when I received them were delicious! Bought as a gift for someone with a self declared sweet tooth. He loved them and I have ordered them again for him.
