I went with this option because it was Solid machined brass vs pressed sheeting. It’s a heavy, quality piece - honestly impressed by value. Looks great, and was easy to install and adjust the fit. Was able to get the patina to match the antique piece I was refurbishing. Performance is excellent. Switch is sturdy as well.

Maybe a little corny to write a review about a lamp switch but I have always sought out and enjoyed things that emanated high quality and generated feelings of permanence. This item fits this description to a tee! Solid brass thus weight plus machined to tight tolerances so that the look and feel aid in the enjoyable feeling of permanence. These will be used to rebuild my bedroom lamps so I will enjoy these switches every time I turn them on! Buy with confidence!!

This fixture was purchased to upgrade a 50-year-old lamp. The mount was a different size than the current standard, so I had to do some finagling to make it fit. It was worth the trouble, but it would have been nice to have an adapter to interface with older lamps and different gender fittings.The switch is good quality and works well. It also looks good.

Constructed with heavy brass. Not flimsy. Looks good.

Screwing in or out bulb rotates socket upper ring, lower two rings too thin and loose to secure most shades. But it looks nice. Needs uno shade or uno shade retainer to hold cloth or glass shade below the switch, so it's an incomplete shaded pendant solution. Fine for bare bulbs.
