The tool works well and is accurate. Nice for the price. It doesn't come with a case; which it needs since it is, at least partially, made out of plastic. The handle and the armature trigger are plastic. The measurement arms are metal. I can't tell what kind, but they are much sturdier than plastic. I would have given it 5 starts, but the plastic parts and the lack of case were disappointing.

It's a great tool for getting a rough idea of the inside diameter of something. But that's it. Expect accuracy of +/1 0.1" repeatably. Not any more precise than that.

It's not nearly as accurate as other iGaging products and because of it's long reach, slightly unstable. It is however, perfectly fine for my woodworking uses and acceptable tolerances. It's also better than the ways I've been using to measure inside spacing, so I'm happy with it.

What we were measuring was w/in a few hundreds and for this is fine. I would not use it for precise work just because of the inherent errors with the design. However for most things it works very well and seems to be a well made device.
