54mm Espresso Dosing Funnel Stainless Steel Coffee Dosing Ring Compatible with 54mm Portafilter

I bought this to use for filling the 54mm portafilter on our Sage Bambino Plus (Breville to everyone outside the UK) and Bialetti New Venus Caffettiera 4-cup coffee maker. It fits both of them, perfectly. Sitting solidly on the coffee maker, with just the right amount of overlap to enable the coffee to be tamped.Although the funnel doesn't appear to extend the coffee-pouring area by much, it's easily enough to reduce overspill to almost nothing and it's particularly effective when emptying freshly-ground coffee out of our grinder's hopper. Coffee can sometimes clump in the hopper and it drops in a heap all over the worktop, this funnel is wide enough to catch it.The funnel itself is a solid, nicely-finished ring of stainless steel that fits neatly on our two devices and cleans easily. It could go in the dishwasher, but we just rinse it under a tap. If you have a coffee makers like the ones we use, it's definitely worth getting this funnel. It saves making a mess and, most importantly, spilling your precious coffee. It's also more reasonably priced than funnels available from some other brands.

This is a dosing funnel that fits over the outside of the portafilter rather than inside the basket. Which is the better way of attaching these. It fits perfectly over my stock Sage basket and my IMS basket that i have fitted to a Normcore bottomless portafilter with very little rattle. It's solid and hefty. I put it on my scales and it weighs 180grams.It's better quality than some that cost twice the price. Well worth the £12 i paid for it. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a 54mm funnel.

Very effective and simple dosing funnel. Fits on and off easily, the weight helps it stay on and not cause a fuss

I was looking for a couple of months to find a well priced simple, good fitting, sturdy and clean dosing ring option to add to my setup.At time of purchase this was 1/2 or even so much as 1/4 of the price of some of the known named brands such as Crema or Matow (shipping being the issues I believe).This fits snugly on my portafilter, is heavy enough not to fall off or wiggle around, does not leave a ring impression on the coffee bed at all, and looks very smart to boot.To address some of the criticism regarding fit with breville/sage grinders- there is no issue with resting this underneath the shoot on the smart grinder pro (0 mess involved), however it would certainly not be suitable to rest suspended by the breville/sage grinder holders; just because the design of resting on the basket is not compatible with that...

Fits basket perfectly and has a bit of weight to it so its not going anywhere. Doesn't fit into my grinder but its not a problem. Maybe a little bit pricey but worth if buying a WDT.

Well made funnel. Sits flush on 54mm Sage portafilter leaving no gaps. Extremely useful when prepping freshly ground coffee.

Does not fit sage smart grinder pro

I upgraded my grinder from the Sage Smart Grinder to a Niche Zero, and needed a way of funneling the ground coffee into the Sage 54mm portafilter. This ring is perfectly sized and really substantially weighted, so it easily sits firmly in place. It looks and feels nicely finished too, so it blends in with the rest of the coffee kit on my counter. I actually reckon it will have paid for itself in a year, as I waste practically zero coffee from spillage any more. Thoroughly recommended.
