Great value knife you can use
Great basic knife for the price. Thin, light, durable, deep carry clip, and very sharp.

Light and easy to carry. Love it!
Great knife! Tho it's big enough for it, this is not really a fast-attack tactical self defense knife. It's a great EDC knife tho. Very light, slim and just hides in the pocket with the deep carry clip. You will forget it's there in jeans. It is easy to open one handed but it's not going to be as fast as an assisted opener. It's a true pleasure to carry. It gives an excellent grip without being too rough in texture. It won't hurt your hand and and it won't slip or spin on you either. It has a bit of reverse belly which will help in cutting larger objects. I wear a size L glove, and this spans the width of my palm with a about 1/8" extra on each side. Gives a good grip with no discomfort when squeezing it hard to check for pinch points. There are none.Pros: Very light, pleasure to carry, virtually disappears in the pocket. Sharp! Great grip, very good size. Closer to big than small, but really just right. Fits the hand with every finger getting a grip. Big enough to do most any cutting job. I'm very happy with it.Cons: None for what it is. With the smallish size deep carry clip it's not lightening fast to retrieve. There are a lot of good knives out there, this one is just what I was looking for. At the $20 price point with a lifetime warranty, you can't miss with this one for EDC. Absolutely my favorite to carry for every day use.

The perfect light to moderate duty pocket knife for the urban ranger.
One of the best EDC (everyday carry) knives around and unbeatable at the price. The blade is razor sharp and firmly seated. The knife only weighs a bit more than 2 ounces and doesn't really need the removable pocket clip. This is an important consideration in anti-knife jurisdictions (including some with lenient gun laws) where even the display of a pocket clip can be considered "open carry". And even if not strictly illegal, can be an excuse for police harassment. This knife is ideal for pocket carry. Concealing its presence from observers and hardly felt by its owner. The blade is serious enough for use as an emergency weapon and perfectly capable of the occasional cutting tasks for which most will need it. However, the blade is very thin and light. NOT a heavy duty knife for someone who uses a knife for heavy cutting on a steady basis. Not for butchering a deer or building a survival raft, but more than adequate for any use 95% of us will put it to. A perfect "gentleman's knife" for the white collar commando. Looks and feels real cool as well. A fine budget priced gift that will be greatly appreciated by anyone lucky enough to get one. Both clip point and tanto blade styles are available.

excellent grip and ergonomics
My SOG Traction Clip Point came today. After the dud that was the Fielder (wood grain handle, not yet handled the black variant), imo, I am pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive folder. It is definitely what I would consider to be a solid edc; solid build, excellent grip and ergonomics, it's lightweight, has a solid lock back design, AND comes with a deep carry clip.A big plus is that the clip is matte black and short so it doesn't advertise to the world that you have a pocket knife. The blade is solid, it came with a good edge, so I only took a ceramic rod to it, and it is arm shaving sharp without much effort. It actually reminds me of my Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara 2, with the added benefit of the deep carry clip. All that with a lifetime warranty from SOG is hard to beat in this price range. I definitely recommend picking one up.

A MORE EXPENSIVE VERSION OF MY OLD SOG, BUT STILL MADE IN CHINA, AND HEAVIER.
Had to get this model, because it's the closest to the older, lighter, more wearable, and MUCH CHEAPER "Pocket Clip" previously sold for about $15.00.Am down to last older version of the 3.5 inch SOG Pocket Clip...have had several of them for years, and haven't been able to resist giving 1 to sons, etc., so SOG has made up in multiple repeat sales what they may have passed up in profit on an affordable "Knife for the Common Man"The older version is lighter & clip much more comfortable. I wear it even with my pajamas at home (next to my skin...don't even feel it's there most times), and use it often, especially to open packages, etc (outside: the boxes do not enter the home due to COVID-19, and are sprayed with disinfectant before handling). I sterilize & cleanse knife after each use. It has held up for years.WE CAN NEVER KNOW WHEN AN EMERGENCY WILL ARISE, SO, AS BENJAMIN FRANKLIN WROTE: "EXPECT THE BEST, BUT BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST". I want to have one or more knives (w/ a sharpener) in our Emergency get out of house, town (or whatever) pack, along with some good headlamps (white, red & green lights), batteries, etc...we also have pet containers and supplies ready to move quickly, be it a house fire, or other calamity. Oh yeah: some clothing, blankets, food and water too (LOL)!The older blade has never held an edge terribly well, but the convenience makes it worth becoming adept at sharpening. Will use ceramic only on this new model. The new clip isn't going to be comfortable to wear so personally, so I'll have to figure out a way to make it more comfortable than the metal, out-curved pocket clip on new one.THIS KNIFE IS MADE IN CHINA! If SOG is going to deal with China, why didn't they just continue to offer the older design at half the cost? (I checked the web for an old one, & only ones I could find are asking ABOUT $65.00!)Further, I feel that dealing with China is NOT a good thing. Is Seattle REALLY THAT CRAZY A PLACE that even a VERY potential enemy is given their business??? (Remember the ancient saying: "TOO SOON OLD, TOO LATE SCHMART".).Hope the blade holds edge better than the older (about $15.00) version.IS THERE AN AFFORDABLE AMERICAN MADE SOG RAPID OPENING CLIP KNIFE AVAILABLE?

Wanted a light EDC pocket knife and this one is perfect. It is very light and clips nicely in my pocket. The price was right too.
