Q: Does this product accept food color

you can use any sugar/sanding sugar with GEL food coloring or powdered food coloring. Take the amount of sugar you need and add 1-2 drops of your coloring. You can mix it in a food processor or in a ziplock bag. Once completely mixed , pre-heat your oven to 250 degrees F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, pour the colored sugar onto the sheet and spread it out into a thin layer, bake for 10 minutes, remove from oven and allow to cool on pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to desired container.

Q: Is it possible to buy sanding sugar that doesn't have carnuba wax added as this does?

That's what makes it sanding sugar... it's coated in glaze so it doesn't absorb water.

Q: Are these gluten free?

The answer that "sugar is sugar" so its gluten free, shows that you do not understand their question. People with celiac disease must avoid foods cross contaminated with gluten during manufacturing. The person who asked this was likely insulted by your flip response...like, "duh" we KNOW that there is no gluten in natural sugar, but so many of these products are not safe for us (not to mention the fact that there CAN be gluten in the coloring agents!) Milton's products are all cross contaminated for example, so we are often forced to pay out the nose for extremely pricey products, and have to plan WAY in advance by purchasing online. Sorry not sorry for getting grumpy with that response.
