The mold and follower are made well and more solid than I expected. I may drill more drainage holes in the mold though as it seems a little lacking. The size is perfect for me and I would highly recommend this set to anyone. Very good quality for the price.

Made well even though it’s plastic, it’s sturdy. Easy to use, all inclusive.. like a fine resort!! Although I haven’t used it due to knee injury, upon full inspection.. it’s a great way to make cheese, right size, again…well made…would purchase again…very easy to use…

As others have commented, the follower is far too tight and would never allow cheesecloth wrapped curds to be pressed. Also the 4 tiny holes in the bottom are a joke. However, following the advice of others, 10 minutes in the workshop with a belt sander to shave the follower and a drill to drill many more drainage holes in the bottom and sides, and I think I have a very sturdy cheese mold for making hard cheeses.

Simple to use and does the job very nicely!! Dishwasher safe and the cheesecloth is wonderful and can be washed out and used again and again!

I was looking for a larger mold for thicker rounds of cheese. This mold is rounded off on the bottom with a tight follower with rounded edge as well. A very nice mold with enough depth for a thick round.

Mold and follower are solidly built but there are some deficiencies to I think adversely affect it's use. First, there are only 4 small holes (appx. 1/8") in the bottom of the mold and none in the sides. Whey did drain from these holes but it seems constricted to me. The bigger problem is the follow. The follower has a shoulder on the inside surface with a radius that matches that at the bottom of the mold where the sides meed the bottom. This seems like a good idea as it should give the bottom and top corners of the cheese the same profile. However, there is very little clearance between the inside of cylinder and the outside edge of the follower. On mine, there was friction between the two and it bound up completely when pressed down about half way in side the mold. Depending on how full the mold is, this will make it difficult to apply an accurate pressure to the cheese. Another problem that arises from the tight follower fit has to do with the cheese cloth. If you typically cover the top of the cheese with say just a corner of the cloth and and the follower and let the rest of the cloth hang over the top of the mold, this mold will not allow that. The tight fit of the follower demands the cheese cloth must be laid on top of the cheese before the follower is inserted into the mold. Under pressure, some whey squeezed past the follower edge and sat on top of it.Modification of the mold could resolve these issues - drill more holes, sand or file the follower edges - but that is a time/economic decision you should consider before you purchase.

El molde esta estupendo. Buen material y hace muy bien su trabajo. Lo recomiendo. Para un queso fresco está fenomenal.
