Really ideal for a beginner
No major complaints whatsoever. Everything works as you'd want. The footpedal and handle is responsive and easy to control. The slip tray can be cleaned easily. It is small so you can fit it in a spare room. The only bad points are no screws for bats on the wheel, and the slip tray's sections for water are very small. But I resolved this by having a bucket next to me on the box the wheel came in.If you're new to pottery this is an inexpensive wheel that you can get all the necessary experience with. Good stuff.

Good product for the money
Good product for the money. Apart from the foot pedal being pretty useless, this is a good product and excellent value. Just use the handle instead!

Solid well made beginners wheel
This wheel is of a much better build quality than I was expecting for the price, and is very simple to set up. Straight out of the box you just put the feet on and away you go. All controls are simple and easy to use which is handy when you're covered in clay.I was concerned that it would be too small for me as I'm over 6ft and it is very compact, however I've had no problems at all using it comfortably and it fits neatly in the limited workspace I have. Also with it being small I wasn't expecting the motor to have the Torque to be turning larger lumps of clay but so far its handled it very well, only slowing down slightly with dry and quite stiff balls of clay. The two downsides I've found are that the sink is not attached to the body of the machine so it moves around a little and the wheel head has no way of attaching bats. I've overcome both quite easily though by drilling my own holes for bat pins and gluing the sink down, so with a few modifications they're not really issues at all.I've been making Ceramics for nearly 5 years but never tried throwing on a wheel, so I decided to get this to learn the basics then upgrade to a bigger wheel. If you're thinking of doing the same or want a cheaper solid wheel to learn the basics on I can't recommend this enough, it really is way better than I was expecting it to be!

Very disappointing
The pictures online of this wheel must have been doctored and are incredibly misleading as the size of the item is tiny. It came half way up my shin so you have to bend over massively to use this.It can’t be raised up on a plinth as the foot pedal is fixed to the side. Might be okay for a small child but not an adult.

Small and easy to store - good for turning/finishing work.
Bought this to use for turning and finishing pots, etc. Works really well for this use and Griffin wheel fits on it. It is very small so great for tucking away when not in use but best modified if you want to use regular height chair/stool - or get a very low seat. Hand lever is very useful as I find the foot pedal is not easily used and can knock the wheel off balance - this could be overcome by securing down somehow. Haven’t tried throwing any pots on it yet. Great value within expectations.

It works well
This little wheel is very compact - I’m a relative beginner so didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but I wanted something that could do the job.I am absolutely delighted with the results I’ve achieved throwing on it.It’s very lightweight (compared to the one that I use at the studio I attend), so it’s taught me to be gentle. Too much clay or pressure slows the wheel and being aware of this has helped my technique. The only slight issue I have is that the speed pedal/handle goes from off to fast, so I find finishing my pieces on the bottoms can be a bit fraught as I need a slower revolution than I’ve been able to achieve. On the whole, I love it.

Brilliant beginner wheel!
The media could not be loaded. I've had my wheel for just over two years now and I use it most days. It has been absolutely brilliant, and is only now just starting to get a bit cronky - which is why I have decided to upgrade to a better one. But if you're just starting out and want to see if pottery is your thing before investing in a more long-term wheel, then this is definitely for you! The height of the wheel was too short for me to sit at comfortably, so I built a simple little table for it to stand on, which made it the perfect height. It's super easy to clean, as you can just pull the splash pan apart, stick it in a bucket of water and sponge it down. Would definitely recommend it for your first wheel if you're not looking to spend a lot!

Works well for experienced thrower
I was worried that it may need a lot of adaptations however, I just put it on a carboard box and off I went. The strange grooves and the moving tray didn't bother me. I'm so pleased I bought it as it works as well as an average size wheel but much cheaper.
