CatEye Adult ISC-12 Speed And Cadence Sensor - 160-3970 Cycle Computers - Black, NO SIZE

I have purchased numerous Cataye products in the past 40 year, was happy to pay higher price to receive long lasting quality. This is their first product that has a major design flaw which makes it useless as some functions cannot be utilised. It is advertised that up to 29x2.3 tyres the sensor can be applied. This is unfortunately not true as both candence and speed sensors must be within 3 mm range from the magnets that can be achieved only on slim tyres. The speed sensor arm is too short, you have to choose whether speed or candence is recorded, both simultaneously are not possible. The design flaw makes the sensor useless on MTB, and a pricey Padrone Smart + computer will be just a simple speedometer. Furthermore, the Padrone Smart + does not connect to any other, non-magnet based sensors, although advertised so, just the ISC-12. Cateye must find a solution, otherwise this range of products are not recommended for generic use.

It works well straight away. The paired Cateye Padrone takes a lot of manual reading to setup and pair but getting this to align with a magnet on the left crank and rear wheel spoke simultaneously takes a lot of patience and trial & error.A LOT of patience.Once it is positioned correctly, the zip ties can be cinched up and Bob's Your Uncle.You might want a bike stand to get everything at eye level

Works great! I use it with my indoor trainer and I can get cadence and speed. Relatively easy to install if you're handy. I checked to speed agains my gps and seem very close. The good thing is that you can istall the speed sensor magnet on the back-wheel for indorr training.

ケイデンス、速度を把握したくて購入。サイクルコンピュータ替わりにスマホにCATEYEが提供しているCyclingというアプリを入れて使っており私の目的には必要十分だと思います。自転車への取り付け(固定と調整)には不慣れなので戸惑いましたが、特段難しさは感じませんでした。使い始めて1か月程度なので耐久性は不明。
