Gteat antenna fairly simple to assemble
It's an awesome antenna. I use to only be able to get one clear channel with my indoor antenna ,which was more expensive and was complet lyssa worthless, but QFX antenna works great. The only complaint is have with it is the remote as it does not work. But I can turn the antenna by using the button on the amplifier box. If you push it and hold it it will go one way, let off of it and push it again it goes the other way, most of the time but after the annoyance of setting the antenna the first time I get 14 channels, I donternational move it around. As for assembly I found it to be very simple. There are alot of pieces and the directions are not that good but counting screws and looking at the picture pretty much tells you where all the pieces go. It is fragile as the aluminum can benefit easy so try not to drop it.I am happy with it.

For the price, it is one of the best ways to get over the air signal with little setup time.
My father in law bought one of these antennas at Ollies, and I was impressed with the amount of channels he was able to receive. We live about 40-50 miles from the closest TV broadcasting towers, and was able to get 50 channels, all of them with very little interference. I found the same one here on Amazon for about 3 dollars cheaper. I have some trees in my yard, and despite that, was able to get as many as 46 channels, and with a temporary setup. I am estimating that my antenna is about 25 feet in the air, so I still have some of my roof line in the way. I have received some channels from as far as 60 miles away at times. My only complaint about the antenna is that installation can be tricky. The instructions could have been written a little better, and you have to be careful inserting the hollow tubes into the frame. They can bend easy on you and make it require some modification to get them to fit. The controller works well, but constructions is a bit shoddy. The remote is very cheap, and the battery chamber is not tight and can make it difficult to change batteries. I still recommend this for anyone wanting a cheap way to get over the air signals.

Best Value on the Market Today!
Hey All, Okay you have decided to use internet streaming. Some may have decided to simply use Netflix, or Hulu or some smarter might have invested in Sling TV. The problem is you still want lical news and weather and you live in either a Rural or Sub-Urban area about 40 miles from OTA stations. You got on the bandwagon and bought either a HDTV flat antenna or a top of the line Rabbit Ear system. Now you find that was a waste except for UHF stations. So what are you going to do as OTA stations are being moved back into the VHF bands over the next two years? Well if you are smart you buy a QFX ANT106, use rtv/silicone to attach the elements and put 75 ohm terminators on unused amplifier outputs. You then climb into your Attic and place a nail in one of the rafters as high as you can reach. You then take a coat hanger, bend it in half over the nail and bend two j loops in the end to suspend the VHF portion of the antenna. You then either lead the down lead to a hole leading down the inside of the wall that you can fish out through a antenna plate hole or you gently poke a hole in the ceiling near the corner and drop the wire through. Then you connect the downlead to your amplifier, and connect your TV to the other main lead output, as you place the 75 ohm terminator on the unused terminal. The end result, you can now see TV stations that the antenna points towards even if they are 60 miles away. You can even add a second antenna pointing towards a different direction, and combine both signal with a simple 3db combiner or a multiple input distribution amplifier and take that output and connect one of the DA connections to your home former catv box for sharing it with other tvs in the home, while reserving one connection for your tv. Just make sure you terminate any unused connection so you do not overheat your amplifier.Good Luck, though, I doubt you will need it because for less the $40 and a few hours time you can save over $1000 in the first year over cable tv.

Good antenna but assembly won't be for everyone
I've had this antenna on my roof now for a couple of weeks and I'm very happy with the picture quality. That said, this antenna isn't going to be good for everyone.Specifically, if the only thing you've ever assembled in your life is furniture from IKEA - which typically comes with good, detailed assembly instructions - then walk away now. The instructions that came with this antenna were horrible.I've personally done a lot of assembly work over the years so figuring this antenna out wasn't too difficult for me. But I knew when I purchased it that the instructions were bad just by reading other reviews. What I didn't know was that at times I would have to use the pictures on the front of the box to figure out how certain portions were supposed to be fitted together. It is also worth noting that you will have to take a little time in the assembly because the materials used in this antenna are delicate. It would be very easy to damage the aluminum tubing used without applying much force.Once last thing here, the motor housing on the antenna isn't very sturdy. In fact, it easily wobbles in the wind. Fortunately, most of the TV stations in my area have their towers located in one place. That means that I can point the antenna in that direction without ever using the motor to adjust the antenna. That allowed me to secure the antenna in such a way that it doesn't move, but nobody will ever be able to use the adjustable motor on it.All of that said, I got this thing on sale for under $20 and it picked up 105 over the air channels to watch. That's a lot more than I ever expected.

Instructions definitely insufficient to put product together. But a regular Rca antenna gets 3 channels here. This one picks up 31. It's on a 25 foot grounded pole and I am impressed with how well it works.
