It worked to adapt from one thread type to another.

I believe the description is Wrong
From what I can determine (I am not a novice) these "adapters" are in reality just BSP 1/2“ Female to BSP 1/2" Male Thread with a nylon washer in the female and it has a stainless steel screen imbedded into that nylon washer.I am attempting to force the male into a female npt gas line fitting but will use pipe dope NOT teflon tape. I will let dope set long before I pressure and will watch it closely and I do not suggest you try what I am doing.

Must have when buying plumbing made in China
Was the perfect fitting connecting metric to US plumbing fittings. It was impossible to find the parts locally. Got them on Amazon in a day.

Not 1/2 BSP

This part sure is made incorrectly. The 1/2 BSP thread on there is not right, it is too coarse of a thread. Looks like they mistakenly threaded it for 1/2 NPT instead of BSP

There are many variations of pipe thread
Have an ultrasonic clear. The ball valve rusted out. The pipe threads did not match the replacement. Found the adapters on Amazon and added to my plumbing knowledge. The adapter worked and no more leaky valve.

Easy fit for a little added length
These worked great for a bathroom faucet line that was a little short. Easy to connect with some plumber's tape. Very solid valves. Worked great on downsizing to a 3/8 connector line.

Nice machining wrong sizing
NOPE NOT 1/2 BPS. The SS looks like good machining just wrong sizing. They really need to require drawings to include thread count, ID and OD. They would save tons on shipping and wasted time.

Garbage. Threads cut wrong.
This so-called adapter is useless. Do not buy it. The threads are cut wrong. It will not engage with mating parts. I replaced this with a brass version of the same exact adapter, and the mating parts engage the brass one perfectly on both sides. $10 down the drain (in the metal recycling bin).
