Q: If your jeep did not come with the receiver hitch, is it still wired to accept the shown plugs on the wiring harness?

This kit has the harness included. Its very easy just remove the drivers tail light and connect the wires plug between the trucks wire system and the light. The frame has pre-drilled holes to mount/run the wires to make for a clean install. Took me about ~20 min start to cleaned up and finished. Really study the wires and make sure the compression fittings have a hole to attach. I got lucky and fished it correct the first time - but could see how it would be easy to miss and not have anything to attach the first couple mounts too.

Q: Does this hitch come with a hitch pin?

Hello: No the receiver is just as pictured. You would need to add a hitch pin along with the 2" hitch of you choice. Hope that helps, by the way I have purchased two of these items and they fit my 2014 JKs perfectly.

Q: Does this just mount to rear bumper? i have 2016 jeep wranger will this work ? or should i just have a tow hitch installed?

I purchased this for a 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock edition with the factory metal bumpers. Install was a snap, just remove 4 bolts from behind/under the bumper, line up the hitch, slide in the provided bolts, tighten and done! This hitch will work on any 07-16 JK, but not sure the amount of work involved on the plastic bumpers. Read somewhere you have to remove the plastic bumper to install this hitch. Either way. Should take less than an hour for you to do.
