Vaessen Creative Craft Paper Punch Square Motive Puncher, Multi-Colour, Medium

So on the packaging it does show as 2.5cm (1”) cut out shape , this is measured Diagonally, and not what most people are expecting , as they are wanting a 1”, square shape.I ordered this because I wanted smaller than 1”, ( I wanted 20mm) but as I cannot find a 2cm Square ANYWHERE, I’ll have to make do with this. As you can see from the photo, it is actually 18mm x 18mm.So unless you want much smaller than 1” size. Don’t buy.It’s useful for me , but I only got it by looking at people’s comments, and the only other size 18mm square punches , cost twice the price of this one!

Despite the poor description, I'm happy with the punch itself. Having read the other reviews I concluded this was the size I required ie 3/4". I needed it to match other items I am making swatches for. It punched sharply through its own packaging, always a useful test. The benefits of reading other reviews carefully.

If I could put zero stars I would.. without reading reviews (silly me) cause I’ve not had a problem with vaessen punches before , I ordered the 1.5” square cut punch... thinking like you would that you would get a 1.5 x 1.5” Square.... but no it’s a 1” ..Got in touch with vaessen direct (who were as much help as a chocolate fire guard) kept insisting it was an amazon problem and not theirs .. being a family run business you would think they would take more pride in their products!!DEFINITELY NOT TRUE TO SIZE!!!!will not be purchasing any more from vaessen which is a shame as they cut well

I really needed a true 1” punch which this is but it broke and jammed after only 10 squares were punched out … It’s out of alignment even though I only used it on paper not card. Cannot be corrected so a complete waste of money as no returns.. would not recommend

I ordered a 1.5" square punch and expected a punch with dimentions of 1.5" across the top by 1.5" top to bottom. That's not what i got. The punch cuts a 1" square. However, if you measure across the diagnal ( corner to corner across the middle) it measures a little shy of 1.5". So in order to get a punch that cuts a 1.5" square you would need to buy a punch advertised as measuring 2⅛". I really wished i had read the ratings before i ordered - lesson learned. I hope this helps someone else. I gave 2 stars because it does cut well.
