Let there be wine!
Purchased and used it to turn Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice into wine. I kinda feel like Jesus, on a smaller scale!

Great for beginners, missing some things
Pretty good for casual or beginner home brewers, of which I definitely am both. It's missing both a siphon and a hydrometer, but it's also not like, a full starter kit so that's okay. If you're like me and don't care about things like specific gravity or the end ABV a hydrometer isn't necessary, but a siphon absolutely will be to get the product of the primary fermentation out without also pulling out the lees. If you don't have some small, flexible tubing (I have some left over from a custom loop water cooling system for my computer ;) ) consider grabbing some when you pick these up.Also one of the airlocks arrived broken, but that's not their fault, that's just a risk of shipping. So maybe pick up some spare airlocks as well.

Good product
- Easy to clean, I use drying sterilization solution- the cork seals well and is better than standard-good value for the product-performs as expected

Great for micro batches - everything worked/fit perfectly.
Perfect glass carboy/jug for doing micro batches. Pictured is a one gallon batch of apple wine. (Wine made from store bought apple juice, champagne yeast, yeast nutrient, and table sugar) It turned out great and fermented in about five days.I've seen some reviews saying the bung was incorrect. Mine came with a 6.5# pre-drilled rubber bung and a single piece airlock. The bung fit perfectly and didn't pop out because I know how to properly use them.If yours is popping out, its due to either the bung or the inside of the jug being wet or both. You need to dry them off. If the bung doesn't fit, ensure it's a 6.5# (sometimes written as a 65) and not a #6 or #7. Also, you can wrap a string or rubberband around the airlock and the handle to keep the bung in place if it wants to keep popping out.Pictured is a three piece airlock I bought separately. I prefer the 3-piece for easy of cleaning.Great buy.

Second time purchase but missing cap.
These bottles work amazingly well for making your own wine. We ordered a second "kit" from this company, so that we can have a second batch going while sipping on the last one. It's ridiculously easy to make a simple wine. My only complaint is that with thus purchase, the threaded cap for closing the bottle after the wine is ready wasn't in the box. I don't want to send it back over a missing cap, so I'm hoping that a replacement can be sent.
