Super easy spraying
The Rust-Oleum Fabric Paint did its jo just fine. My 9-foot umbrella is over 9 years old and faded from bright Red to pink. I used 2 cans of paint, one for each layer. I also added a “trigger grip” to the Rust-Oleum can and the job went easily and took a little over 2 hours, spraying two layers and waiting about an hour between sprays. The color, Chili Red is more Orange than red, but looks good with red brick. (See my photos). There was no clogging up of the paint spray as some reviewers stated, and the hand trigger is a “must” for every painter! Little pricey, but hopefully will be worth it. The umbrella feels and looks like new!! Highly recommend!!

Terrible product
I bought 3 cans. The spray nozzle on every can almost immediately clogged. I had to pull the tips off after making a pass or two to clean it out countless times. My hands were covered in paint. The constant issues with the tips clogging made the spray stream inconsistent so I ended up with streaks due to heavy and weak spray. It was a complete waste of money. The issue was with every can. I wish I would have just stopped after the first can, but I kept trying new cans thinking it was an isolated issue. Very disappointed.

Amazing coverage
I had an old green awning that was supposed to be thrown away. When I looked at replacement costs, I decided to keep it. It sat in my backyard for over a year, until I got this idea to paint it. I used 2 cans and didn’t spray the inside of it. Outdoor fabric is tough to paint so if you have a larger project consider that you will need quite a few cans. I really needed 2 more cans to spray inside. Great product. It has endured very heavy rain and no color loss has occurred. No color transfer onto my pink colored house either.

Cheap way to cover old fabric
I have used the spray on two fabric styles now.I first decided to try it on an arm chair I got from pier 1 close to 8 years ago and the fabric didn’t match anything o had anymore and my curiosity got the better of me so I decided to try fabric paint. It took me 7 bottles/cans to evenly cover the entire arm chair. Took about 5 days to fully dry so there wasn’t any smudging paint. The one challenge I had was making sure the painting was evenly across the fabric as it had the tendency of lighter and darker coverage areas so that took some getting use to.The paint quality is durable and a solid navy blue color which was what I had wanted. It has been about 6 months since I painted the chair and it still looks good. You can use this paint to change the color of a fabric or cushion but keep in mind if the fabric has a texture on it the textured pattern will remain.

Satisfied.....
Beautiful rich dark red (not too dark). Following the directions: I used to touch-up my kitchen canvas curtains & now they look brand new. (2 coats) No harsh smell, easy application. So, I encountered no problems while using this product.

Not the best spray paint I have ever used.
I purchased this spray on fabric paint to revive a red table umbrella that had begun to fade from sun exposure. I am a frequent user of spray paint and always follow directions regarding shaking, distance from surface, sweeping strokes, etc. Both cans of paint (red), sprayed with very inconsistent aerosol dispersion. One minute I would get droplets of pain, the next just the sound of propellant with no paint, the next a good steady spray that never lasted very long. I shook each can frequently. The coverage was inconsistent, and while the umbrella is now a darker red than it was before using 2 fulls cans, when it's up in the sunlight, you can see a very blotchy, almost tie-dyed appearance to the fabric. Perhaps this would be better for a small surface such as a pillow or seat cushion where light would not show through it? Not impressed, and won't be rushing to purchase this product next time I want to freshen up outdoor fabrics.

Easier than expected
My outdoor cushions are rust and we’re so sunbleached. Replacing them would have been outrageously expensive so I decided to try this. I had 6 large cushions, 7 medium cushions. I used the same color so I only had to do 2 coats on most. 3 coats on a few. I used 7 cans. Although the paint isn’t cheap. I did in an afternoon what I would have spent buying 3 new medium cushionsThey look and feel brand new! Not stiff or uneven at all.My only complaint is that a couple of cans didn’t spray as evenly as the rest so I had to be care of drips. I used a foam craft brush for that and to get into seams.

Complete garbage
Bought 5 cans. Every single can clogged almost immediately. Between the 5, I probably have 4.25 cans worth of paint left, completely unusable. I even harvested a spray can nozzle off of a known good can of paint, clogged in less than 30 seconds. Absolute garbage. Avoid at all costs.
