Better than I Expected.
This digital clamp meter feels like a more expensive piece. The rotary dial is turned with your index finger with one hand insted of having to hold the meter in one hand while pinching the dial with thumb and index to select a function. The option to illuminate the digital readout screen is nice. The readout is easy to read. You can save your readout by pushing the hold button. The flashlight is bright and located well. The test leads are substantial, should last for a long time.Customer service was readily available and helpful with my questionThe batteries are preinserted so the tester is ready to go.The user manual is pretty good. If you haven't used the transformer jaws before find a video.

Great product and easy to use for people like me.
I really like this device because the ease of use and its ability to detect electricity through the clamp but still has the probes. I am not an electrician and lack knowledge in that area but this device is simple and has good instructions. It works great for what I use it for. The screen is bright and is easy to see and read. The cables have quick connects and decent length of cords. I would recommend this for the experienced as well as the novices.

Great meter for home and hobby use
From reading other reviews, it seems a lot of people aren’t capable of appreciating this meter for what it is; great up to date technology at a bargain price. It’s not a Fluke, it’s not supposed to be. I would be willing to bet that some of the circuitry inside this unit is newer and more capable than what you might find in your dated, “professional” model. This meter has all the features needed for the average DIY and hobbyist. And it does take some amount of learning to use this or any meter for the wide variety of tests it is capable of. From reading other reviews, it is apparent that the meter is being unfairly criticized for user error; in particular, there are a lot of folks that need to understand how a clamp meter works to measure A.C.Dislikes: I don’t really care for the overall size- I think it would be easier to operate if it was a tad larger. And I don’t like or trust the NCV detector feature- I have not found one of these I could trust yet, on any meter at any price. The display could also be a little brighter.Overall, this is a solid choice for anyone needing to add testing capabilities to their hobby or household.

5 stars
Great multimeter for the price! It’s accurate, easy to use, and the clamp feature is super handy for quick current readings without disconnecting wires. Perfect for both beginners and pros. The display is clear, and it comes with everything you need, including batteries and a case.

Accurate, convenient, useful, many nice features, good price point.
Feels solid in your hand, the built-in flashlight is a plus, is accurate enough for my daily uses. the digital readout is clear, and an audible peep alerts you when changing modes etc.- the ability to measure capacitance was a real plus- I have several other meters and an oscilloscope, but had no way to measure capacitance. Used the capacitance function to troubleshoot a ceiling fan - the Hunter fans depend on various values of capacitors to regulate speed and I hate buying and trying- got it going in this case the capacitors weren't bad, had an open connection, the meter made it easy to exclude the capacitors as being faulty. - The amp probe came in very handy in the first week- I have another amp probe meter and setting up two meters simultaneously on the incoming buss lines made it much easier to balance my generator circuits coming into the house during a recent power failure- you can always get sneaky parasitic loads from things like the refrigerator going into defrost mode, or an automatic pump coming on on a timer or switch, and if you are close on one breaker, it can trip you out, even if your total load is still OK. So for this price point, and other nice features- I give it five stars- Downside- be prepared to buy a nice lead set if you really want to get the most out of it- it has a very minimalist lead set with it.

Good price for a decent meter.
I have another one of these meters which I use frequently. I have used the AC Current clamp a lot lately. I needed to leave it on a circuit for monitoring, which left me with out a meter, so I got another one. The new one works great too.Th only difference is the case. The new case is made kind of cheaply. The material used is different, and the pocket inside is just a cheap piece of material, which looks like it won't last very long, especially if I put too much stuff in it.
