Great for marine and Outdoor Use
The rings are well made. The 304 stainless is great because they have been holding up great outdoors and for salt water marine use on the boat.

Best clips I've found so far
I actually use these for my dog's tags. The other ones we'd been using kept wearing through, so she'd lose her tags twice in one year! These are really well built. I got a lot more in the package than I'll ever need, but they're useful for all kinds of other stuff, like hooking my gym membership tag onto my gym bag.I find I need a small screwdriver to pry open one end, but that's also because my hands aren't as strong as they used to be. These clips have a really tight spring; I don't think they'll open up again ever in my lifetime!!!! HA!Highly recommended!

work well
These are sturdy and work well. I find the flat key rings easier to open than those that are rounded.

**YES IS STAINLESS STEEL (Contrary to other review)
First, let's dispel a myth. Not all stainless steel is non-ferromagnetic (won't stick to magnets). "Stainless steel" covers a wide variety of alloys used across different industries. Some have no perceptible ferromagnetic properties, but some actually ARE weakly ferromagnetic, so magnets alone are not a conclusive test of whether an item is true stainless steel. In the interest of science, I performed two tests on these keyrings:1. Subject to a solution of hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and salt. This mixture is used to "flash rust" steel for the purpose of cosmetic weathering. You spray it on a surface, and you can literally watch rust form as it quickly dries. This solution had no effect on these keychains, both fresh out of the package and after being abraded with sandpaper (to rule out any type of protective coating).2. Dampen surface and subject to a rubbing of copper sulfate crystals. In most metals that are *not* stainless, this will result in the blue copper sulfate producing a purple residue. No such residue was observed on these keychains. It is therefore my conclusion—in so far as I can conclude such things with my minimal resources—that these keychains, despite being weakly ferromagnetic, ARE stainless steel. Use that information as you see fit.
