ESV Large Print Personal Size Bible (TruTone, Chestnut)

This Bible is a perfect compact size and has a font that is easy on my eyes. I also appreciate that the words of Jesus are printed in red! It’s definitely worth the cost.

I'm not an enormous fan of the ESV translation, so this was a good cheap alternative to getting a Cambridge version or something like that. The print is nicely sized and easy to read. The cover material is not leather but some sort of plastic that looks a lot like leather and handles nicely.Overall I'd recommend this bible without question - especially for those that want something that looks classy without it being leather, and something that doesn't break the bank.

I got this bible for my husband to gift to him on his birthday. He loved it. I put some bible tabs on it that were black and gold and it looks beautiful. It’s not small and not huge. It’s a perfect size.

The media could not be loaded. I got this Bible to have in my car and my main concern was highlight bleed. There really isn’t much as you can see in the video. I’m sure it would be different with a heavy hand but if you are light while highlighting then it’s perfect. Most of the pages are stuck together at the corners but undoing that with each page is part of the fun! And it gets you moving through the good book. I definitely recommend this for a budget Bible that is legible and clear.

What I liked about this bible is the size and clarity of the print. It still allows for some notes on pages, and the cover fits over the tabs I put in. Overall, an excellent translation and usable bible that you can carry with you anywhere. The price is very competitive also.

The only minor flaw that I'll get out of the way first, is that it doesn't have a table of contents, but the top of each page has the name of the book and the verse that starts the left page on the left page, and the verse that ends the right page on the right. If you don't have the order of the books memorized you'll have to pull that up while flipping through to find the book you're looking for, but then the verses are easy find.Now, besides that minor inconvenience of having to look up the book order, the print is very comfortable to read, the pages aren't as see-through as some other Bibles, as someone else mentioned, and the translation reads well. Some Bibles start each new verse on a new line, even if it's mid-sentence. That made the book Romans, for example, hard to read as it kept breaking up Paul's long sentences into new lines like a new paragraph and messed with the flow. This Bible does not do that. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

I bought this bible because several of the preachers I listen to use the ESV version and I used a NIV bible. Following a reading of scripture when my bible doesn’t match up is difficult for me. This ESV bible is perfect except for one thing. I can’t highlight or underline verses as the ink/highlighter leaks right through to the opposite page. My NIV bible does not so unfortunately I will be looking for a different ESV bible and I can’t return a bible I already used highlighter in.

This Bible is of great quality, and is nicely sized. The font is about 11-12 and easy to read. The tru-tone has a quality feel to it. Many times “genuine leather Bibles feel like cardboard or rubber. This one feels like leather and will likely last a long time due to its quality. Well done!
