Beautifully painted, it is metal, so a treatment with clear coat will help if you are going to keep it outside

Item is well-made, beautifully painted, and is relatively stable if you buy the extra staples to anchored into the ground. It is a nice pond accent, however if you are buying it to scare blue herons from your pond it will NOT work as the real blue heron will just stand next to it and continue enjoying the free goldfish buffet you are providing for him.

Nicely painted. Fairly sturdy. It has a U-shaped pin to hold it in the ground but a sustained wind will knock it over. Much nicer looking than the plastic ones I've seen. I give it 4 instead of 5 stars because the beak was bent when I received it. I let the seller know and I did bend it back but I am afraid in time it will rust at the weak point.

His name is HERBIE, and we have got him peeking out from a small bush in our back yard. He looks like he is checking out the territory. We do enjoy him. djl

Great for outdoors….or indoors!

Gave this as a gift. It is lightweight but sturdy, and it was simple to put together as legs slide into the body of the heron. It's exactly as described.

Everything about this garden heron is great! It is well made and beautiful. The stabilizer that comes with it doesn't work so I used several small garden stakes.
