Crazy About Clam Chowder!
It tastes really good, the vegetables are smaller, carrots were sparse, and the can has fewer ounces. Plenty of clams.

THE BEST CONDENSED NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER IN THE WORLD
The BEST! I add two of these condensed New England Clam Chowder canned soups to my sautéed celery, onions, spices, and stock. I also typically add any combination of shrimp, scallops fish, etc., plus often mushrooms. I suppose that I use Snow's Condensed New England Chowder as a delishes base towards making "seafood chowder". Everyone raves! LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️

Tastes good
It's good. Not many clams though mostly broth but a quick tasty lunch. Added a touch of sherry and black pepper.

Not like the old blue label chowder
I bought the 13 pack of the New England chowder. For many years Snow's Condensed canned chowder in the can with the blue and white label was my favorite. I can't find it in the store any more and a single can on Amazon was over $7.00 so I bought this beige label-red printing chowder instead. High hopes. But it is quite a disappointment. Something about it tastes stale and it doesn't have the same clam flavor as the previous kind with the blue label. The recipe seems different. If you're going to try it buy a single can and go-no go from there. The Manhatten of this variety is better.

Not worth even one star!
Since this brand has been around for a long time, I thought I could trust buying the 12 cans. It is very bland tasting, not like it used to taste at all. Couldn't find this product on shelves in this area, so I bought the 12 cans, only to find that the 11 that are left are non returnable. I have searched the site trying to find where non returnable was not mentioned at check out. I will be sure to alert customers that they won't refund my money for this product.

good corn chowder - mixed with milk and microwaved per directions
My mom craved corn chowder, so I thought I'd give this a try. When I asked how she thought it compared to what she was craving, she explained she didn't know and that what she craved had been homemade... I made one can by mixing two halves of the condensed corn chowder into two cups, then adding one can of milk, split over both cups, to make two even portions. I was surprised what a full, complete texture this corn chowder has, especially since there is no meat in the mix (there is soy). I heated each portion individually in the microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds each (total of 2 minutes, 20 seconds) in a 1100 watt microwave. Each cup had a vented lid attached. The second portion did seem as if it wanted to explode, but by having a tight-fitting lid with vent on top, no mess. This multiple 'pop' explosion MAY be why their directions say to stir multiple times even when heating in the microwave. I have microwave soup cups that have removable venting lids, so soup is easy for us to heat, no matter how thick and creamy the soup might be. I feel that this Snow's Corn Chowder Soup has made me a good daughter for helping satisfy my mom's craving. I've used them in the past for their clam juice, so I'm glad to find out their corn chowder is also good.
