Works great! (professional driver) Please read review for info.
****UPDATE 3**** I have been running this unit constantly for the last 9 months. It has given me 0 problems. I have also used it on several offroading trips in my Jeep. The only issues I have had on the wheeling trips were: 1, a dirty windshield (inside). (Not the camera's fault) 2, The Jeeps alternator did something funny, the voltage spiked up for half a minute or so. It scrambled the dates on the camera, (weird) but it still kept recording. All in all, a solid camera, I like it!***UPDATE 2*** I gave it the 5th star today. I have been running the camera for over 2 months now and it works like a champ. My only comment is this, if you are driving a truck (i.e. BIG RIG) turn the crash sensor or whatever it is called OFF. Even with it adjusted to max, it saved too many files, thinking they were wrecks. I do alot of urban driving, and am on 7 axles at 105,500, so it MAY not be as bad if you are a strict long hauler and/or running a standard 5 axle rig that is all on air...maybe. I would just kill it and be done with it.The wreck save files eventually filled up the card and the camera would not work...it got, like hung up and couldn't figure out what to do. I had to make sure the battery was charged, unplug it from the power cord and reformat the card using the built in software. Not hard, but took some thinking about it to figure out. Don't know why it being plugged in was keeping me from getting into the menu, but it was. Just an FYI, if it happens to you. That is the only issue I have had since I bought it.**UPDATE** I have had it for over a month now, and it has worked great every time. I run a tanker, so my camera is on 12+ hours a day, 5 days a week, and the only "issue" I have had with it was the power cord popping out of the lighter socket on a bad bump. (Not it's fault, just saying it is that solid and reliable.)1 of the other reviewers made a comment about the blue LED light. It is horribly bright and distracting in the dark. I covered mine with a tiny piece of electrical tape. Problem solved.**ORIGINAL REVIEW** I have only had the camera 1 week. I am holding back 1 star until I know the unit is going to last. I will update this after a couple months, and if it keeps working like it has been, I will add the 5th star!If you are a truck driver, you need to set the crash detection setting to HIGH. The default is Medium, and an unseen pothole will lock it into accident mode. To get it to resume, just hit the ok button and it starts recording in standard mode again. I am posting this first, because, as a driver, this is the kind of thing I want to know when reading reviews. The camera is SOLID. It feels like an aluminum body, instead of a plastic body, so I liked that right out of the box.Setup was easy.Video quality is really good. It works well from false dawn until the sun is completely down. In full dark, it works less well. You can still make out some details, but it is not as sharp. (Obviously!)It does not get hot. This suprised me since the last 3 units I have used have all gotten at least warm, and 1 of them was hot as a pistol after a couple hours. If you have a truck that the cigarette lighter shuts off with the key, the camera will shut off when the power goes away, and will start back up automatically when the truck is started again. In my Pete, I unplug it at the end of the day, but you could let it run.Overall, I really like the unit. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is I wish they had made a way to attach the mount to the bottom, so I could mount it at the bottom of the windshield instead of the top. It has a better view from the top, but if I could put it down low, it would be out of my line of sight.

A true, reasonably priced WINNER in the DashCam superiority race. UPDATE: MAy 14, 2018 - STILL a WINNER all around
Ordered late Sunday. Arrived Monday morning with Free one day shipping.. It was packed neatly and securely. There is also an 11' 7" power cord with a cigarette lighter plug on one end and a mini-USB plug on the other delivering 5v 100mA. The cord is lightweight and flexible without the stiffness and inflexibility found in the cords of other dashcams I've bought. It seems perfect for easy concealment when installed. The camera can also be powered by a power bank using the 1A USB socket ONLY. (portable and very useful for initial setup or for changing settings as needed) There is also a USB to Mini USB cable and the all-important suction cup windshield camera holder which screws into the camera top. Each of these are encased in those white, ultra soft small bags for further protection (a nice & thoughtful touch as is the 18 month replacement warranty offered by Old Shark). Oh, there was also a package containing five, small bits of plastic with adhesive on the bottom which are apparently cable guides for the power cord, another nice touch. There is also an USB adapter for the mini SD card....The camera itself measures 2" tall and 3 1/2" wide, has the 32GB SanDisk Ultra card pre installed and the control buttons are on either side. As in similar cameras, the power cord plugs into the top of the dashcam and the camera will turn on and start recording automatically when the ignition is turned on. When the ignition is turned off, the camera will turn off and recording will stop. The promised 32GB SanDisk Ultra card is already installed. The camera body seems solidly constructed of metal rather than plastic and it is neatly and carefully finished. The glass lens produces a sharp, detailed 170 degree field of view.I was impatient to try it out so I took it right out of the box, put it on my windshield and took it for a ride. It produced sharp, detailed video during the late afternoon and evening that was noticeably better than the video taken by my other dashcams. After reading the manual, which, despite a stilted translation, is easy to read and understand, I learned much more about the camera by using a power bank to keep it on, and learned its features and how to set it and use it. I strongly recommend that this be done first. The only minor problem I found is using it at night with the display off. There are two bright led's in the upper left corner one blue, one red that blink continuously and are VERY distracting while driving. I wasn't able to find anything that would either dim or shut them off. If not, I will use a small strip of black electrical tape to cover them. Other than this, I am very impressed by the camera, the video it takes and with Old Shark. I think they and this camera are definite winners and a Class Act.MAY, 2018 UPDATE: I wanted to make a copy of the my dashcam's video of a near accident and found that this incident was not on the card and the rest of the video was erratic. I found that the power/charger cord would cut power in and out when moved and that using the strip of opaque electrical tape I'd used to cover those distracting blinking blue and red LEDs I mentioned above also covered essential information such as "I'm On" and "I'm Recording" and "I'm sitting here like a lump doing nothing". Also, when I took the camera inside and used a power bank (5V 1A USB ONLY) to power the camera, the picture froze. When I reset it, the video had wavy lines flowing upwards like an ancient TV set. I've been using dashcams for a long time and feel naked when driving without one, so, after writing Old Shark for a warranty replacement of the power cord, I immediately went to Amazon and bought the same camera again (Yes, I really do like this camera, the video it takes, its windshield mount and Old Shark). The new one was delivered the next day. The package contained everything mentioned above except for the micro SD card which OS now sends after the product is reviewed on Amazon. Although the control keys on each side are individually marked as to function, each is now also marked on the back of the camera as well. It makes life a bit easier. The manual also seems a bit more readable and informative and Old Shark also now includes a 3M sticker that, when properly applied to the windshield mount is designed to help the camera stay put during very cold weather. The included mount with suction cup has excellent holding power for keeping the camera attached to the windshield in all but the coldest weather and I would apply the 3M disc only if the camera won't stay put. The flashing LEDs I mentioned earlier seem less glaring and distracting at night on my new camera than on the previous one.. If you find them too bright, there is still no way to dim or turn them off but I would cover them with translucent, NOT opaque tape. Just be sure you can see them working - or not working. My previous dashcam recovered is is working like new....clear sharp detailed video....Old Shark support has been very helpful and cooperative and is sending me a new power cord for it along with the new 32gb micro SD card for my new camera. For me, they remain definite winners and a class act.
