Great little hole maker
I used the screw punch to make a stencil in thin posterboard. Probably the easiest way to make holes in the center of large areas, and feels less fatiguing then plier-styled punches. Will cut through just about anything, it just may take more cycles the thicker and denser the material. It took about 15 strokes to get through the popsicle stick. They are a hard wood(Birch), and this is not the tool I would use that for, but it will cut heavy fabrics, and your cutting mat if your not careful. The operation of the tool is pretty straightforward, but it takes a little bit of practice keeping the blade nice and square to the surface, as well as how much of the stroke you would need as to not overpenetrate your cutting surface. The tool has a few downsides. On very thin paper with tightly clustered holes, you may end up tearing the paper between holes if you aren't careful. If you punch a lot of dense paper you may need to clear the tip occasionally, its designed to spill out the back, but sometimes gets too tight to self clear. You can also have the tip walk from where you set it, if you're not perfectly square, or the tip is over packed. While the tool had a small crack in the handle, it did not effect function nor do I expect it to shorten its life. The tool appereance it self is pretty cool, and build quality seems fairly robust (machined parts not stamped). The blades had some dull spots, luckily none were nicked and they still functioned fine.Overall, I couldn't make a comparable tool for anywhere near this low of a cost in materials, nor would any tool besides a cnc plotter save me time. It arrived and didn't require modifications to work, works on a pretty wide variety of materials, and put it to use right away, so 5 stars. Now I just need some 3 bladed stencil scissors...

Great Little Tool!
Just what I needed to punch holes without being limited by the jaw depth of the hole puncher. The tool is easy to operate, and I found that putting a paper towel for cushioning beneath the paper stock that I was punching, gave a cleaner hole. The extra tips were a real plus. I'm super happy!

Absolutely love it!
I find this item to be an excellent complement to my squeeze style hand hole punch. I use this in areas where the jaw depth limits my ability to punch holes in larger pieces of leather. This punch does not replace any of my other traditional punches. This really is a drill rather than punch. It is super accurate and does not leave indents on the back of the leather jike you get from a hand squeeze punch. I would not recommend this if you are looking to punch more than 5 or 6 holes here and there. It is not efficient for that and it'll probably wear out as it's not a heavy duty tool. Tip for using this on leather: poke the tip of your desired punch into some beeswax before each hole and it'll glide through even the thickest leather. Would buy this again

Very sharp
I have not yet used the set, only tried the smallest diameter which was already inserted into the handle. It gave me a very clean cut on paper and I believe it will perform well on leather of thin to medium thickness.

Nifty hole punch
It's small, precise, and the variety of nib sizes is a plus. I recommend this product and would buy it again.

Better than I expected...
I was initially warned that buying a "cheap" Japanese Screw Punch would be a waste of money; that I needed to spend the $90 to get one from a bookbinding supply house.I didn't have $90 to spend on something I didn't expect to use a lot.So I took a chance on this one.So far it works exactly as expected and I saved LOTS of money.I will say that I don't use it much as I prefer my drill press for most jobs. But for some jobs, this is more appropriate and it has never let me down.YAY! 5 stars

Won't punch 0.09 book board
This tool looks well made and is easy to use. It is not a heavy duty punch and might be best used with thin cardboard or leather. It didn't punch my 0.09 book board.
