Great product!
Much better than using the alligator clips. Perfect for multiple size grill grates.

My wife thinks it's funny when I call it a probe holder...
This is a fantastic solution to the question of where to measure the temperature from. The silicone wedge isolates the metal holder from the grate. Previously I stuck the alligator clip for my PartyQ to the grill grate and thus had a temperature that didn't accurately reflect the actual cooking atmosphere. This solves that. I did have one problem that is not the fault of the probe tree. I had my remote temp monitor in one of the silicone probe holders and I must have put the sensor right across the silicone because it read too low in comparison to what the PartyQ was reading. I will change its position in the holder for future cooks and see if that fixes the erroneous readings.

Works well but the rubber is relatively fragile
I use this in a kamadoThey last about one year as the rubber is relatively fragile but low cost so that is not really a problem.

Works just like it is supposed to
The probe holder does exactly what’s its supposed to. Hold my temp prob above my food so I can get more meat on the grill.I have not used it for anything over 400degrees so I can’t talk to the question about the probe tree melting or deteriorating but you really shouldn’t use a probe in a grill over 450 anyways with out ruining the probe.Happy Grilling

Broke on first use!
Was looking forward to using this thermometer holder. It worked well for keeping the temperature probe off the grill...BUT... it broke on first use. Perhaps these are very delicate but I certainly wasn't being Ham fisted. I'd send back to replace but it'd likely cost more to send from NZ than it cost. I'll likely keep trying to use it broken.

Excellent alternative to alligator clips
I’ve had one for about 4 years, purchased directly from BBQ Guru when I got a PartyQ in 2015. It’s held up great since then. I just had a probe holder split but that one usually holds the wider of my two grate probes. If the need ever arises, will definitely purchase again. Far superior to alligator clips.

Works so much better then the probe that comes with the Guru
The clips that come on the probes when you buy a Guru come off after one or two smokes. This attaches great and keeps the probe out of the way. They should include it.

It will fail. Shouldn’t for the price
The rubber on this will fail in time. Whether you make it a few months or a bit longer, it’s only a matter of time. I split my first one, and foolishly thought it was user error. My second one now just split, and once it’s broke it’s broke broke.Go old school with the spring steel, get a few in a pack and don’t look back. Definitely don’t buy this at this price. Great concept, terrible delivery.
