These were soft and chewy. They weren't hard at all. You could smell the green apple when you opened the bag. They were delicious, but you didn't get as much as you should have for the price. Not worth it. Although delicious, can't justify repurchase.

The flavor is good but the product is hard as a rock! I’m not sure if that’s how it is intended, but it appears to be stale.

Love licorice so I enjoyed these. They weren't as strong a flavor as I hoped though. I've had other brands that are better.

These licorice sticks taste like green apple and I ate all 1.5 pounds. They use the typical cheap plastic wrapping, which never rips cleanly, but it kept them fresh enough. I prefer them stale anyway, and let them sit open a few weeks to stiffen up. the ones I used to pick up at Cabelas were better, so I know better are available. These have a slight wheat taste undertone, a quality I pay attention to. (Wheat is a key ingredient.) still, this brand tastes fine and was a good value. For myself, I will keep looking but I wouldn’t discourage you from buying this brand.
