Sturdy non static and detangles nicely

It's a nice looking comb but be sure to keep it in the case. Had a tooth crack off putting it in a wicker basket on my counter, so even though it was a softer surface, it still broke. Still considering whether I want to replace it or not.

There's a reason pocket combs are mostly hard plastic. Plastic is cheap and is hard to break.Bought this on a whim. Much bigger then you need a pocket comb to be. Finish is pretty rough.The one I received was black, not the tortise shell brown in the picture.Worse, two of the comb's teeth broke the second time I had it in my pocket.A complete waste of money.

A quality product that makes it pleasant

I just received this as a stocking stuffer for my husband. Initially, it was difficult to get out of the travel pouch, and (due to other reviews) I was afraid I’d break it in the attempt! However, after the initial struggle it doesn’t seem to have any more problems sliding in and out of the pouch. I am suspicious of its composition though. It feels just like every other plastic comb I’ve ever touched (and I’d say it’s just about as fragile as that). But aside from a testimonial from the ox it came from I don’t know how to prove its origins, so I’ll have to go on blind faith. To summarize… assuming it is genuine ox horn, it is a unique and quirky gift for the manly-man in your life.
