Nice for being inexpensive.
I got this guitar package about a month ago, as I wanted a cheap electric that I could learn on. I'm a beginner, but I learned a lot about guitars from an old band mate (I'm a former drummer that can no longer play due to health issues). There are some good things, and bad things, about this guitar. It sounds great with good strings. It will need some setup to stay in tune (once you put good strings on it). If you don't know how to set it up properly (string action, intonation), take it in to a guitar shop and have them set it up for you. You'll be glad you did. The fret ends on mine are a little rough, so they will need some filing at some point when I'm in the mood to do so. I did replace the string trees (guides) because they were allowing some buzzing at the headstock. Otherwise, it's a nice guitar for the money. The case that came with it is good enough to keep dust off the guitar. I'm not sure about using it to carry the guitar around, as I'm not really planning on doing that for a while. The picks are good. The amp isn't bad at all. I haven't used it without headphones since I live in an apartment, so I really can't say as to how loud it is without headphones. The strap is not that great. The strings are okay, but I ended up changing them out for some that I know are good.Sure, it's not a top-of-the-line guitar, but it's good for a beginner. As with any instrument, if you are not sure that you, or someone you get this for, are going to stay interested in learning the instrument, getting an inexpensive instrument is always the way to go in the beginning. A cheaper instrument is also good for learning about all the parts, and you can make modifications to them if you wish and know how to do so.

Really great starter kit
I've played guitar for many years and owned about 100 guitars.First, there seems to be a big variation in quality with these, I've bought a number as presents and they come in all variationsSome have no laquer on the body, which I actually like, a really cool matt effect. Some come with wonky tuners that need fixed upSome come with the bridge saddles set perfectly, some way too highOverall a decent package for the money, and you'll get teh opportunity to tweak the guitar to how you like it.

Great beginner kit
I must say,This guitar kit is a great way to start off for any beginner looking to learn how to play a guitar and is decent quality too. The Amp sounds good and is loud but also is able to connect headphones to it for the times the amp might not wanna be used lol. Everything works like it should. The Only thing I did notice was the guitar may need to be tuned before using.. strings felt a tad loose compared to normal but the positive thing about this kit is it comes with a tuning manual and tuner as well and provides free lessons that you can do online using any smart phone or computer.I would recommend this kit for a "start"

I don't know who this is for.
So I purchased the cheapest guitar possible on Amazon as a way to do a teardown and rebuild. For $150, it honestly came out really cool looking until you pick up the guitar and it feels like a toy. There is no heft to this guitar and not only that but whatever they used for the "wood" has a really light sustenance where I get this wild reverberation echoing through the guitar. I installed a humbucker into it and I cannot get rid of the reverberations. I dreamed of having a completely blacked out strat and honestly... for the price, it came out really cool. (With other parts from Amazon) Now, if it were for beginners, I would NEVER recommend this guitar. It is light enough for beginners or young kids. That's awesome and it would be great as a spare parts/beater guitar. I will say this though. Once its dialed in, other than the weight being like 3 pounds, it really is a fun guitar to play but... beware. Your kid or beginner whoever it is will likely give up because you just cant get any good feels from this guitar. The neck is fatter than normal, a fingernail will permanently dent the guitar, paint job had permanent marker dots from them trying to fill in the missing paint. I don't even know if the neck is wood, it is almost like a cheap fiberboard. Truthfully, I got the guitar all intonated and oiled the neck. Changed out the stock pick guard with a cheap $20 humbucker one though and I can't really tell the difference in sound between that and my $900 Fender Strat. (Other than those reverberations) I know this was a bash list but you really do get what you pay for here. I didnt expect much so I got what I expected but I have been playing for 25+ years, so for beginners... No! As a project guitar............................................ still no. But it plays and if it were setup correctly, it could be a decent little thing to mess around with.
