This was what was missing in my lotions! Emulsifiers and thickeners sometimes don’t marry oil and water evenly, even when following instructions to the letter. It separates, is still watery after days, just feels runny.This makes my lotions creamier, fluffier, more evenly blended. The instructions say up to 1%, but I’ve added up to 2% and I’ve found that the more you add, the more you can thicken the lotion.Peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil is non-comedogenic, all plant based, natural lotion thickener. Also, hands down gold standard for incorporating essential oils into lotions, replaces my polysorbate 80 and 20 utterly.The size of this tub will last you for years.

When I originally received this product, upon opening, I noticed a small amount of haziness in part of it. I chalked this up to small air bubbles in the product, and used it. I noticed afterward that the item I created using it started growing some kind of bacteria or mold. Looking back at the container, there is definitely a cloud of haziness inside which has grown over time. I do not think it is safe to use this product.
