Brother only knows
How's this for honesty? I have no idea what these are or what you do with them. I bought them because my brother asked me to. He's the user and he says they fulfilled his expectations. High praise indeed. He's an OTR trucker and he uses them somehow on his rig. I want to say air lines but really I could be pulling that out of thin air. He has asked me to put them on his list so we can find them easily when he needs them again. That speaks volumes to me.

Nice crimp connectors, in quality container, low quality crimp tool. Great for the price
Heat shrink butt connectors are as advertised, shrinking as expected. They were very well packaged in a sturdy plastic container, nicely partitioned to accommodate.Crimp tool is weighty, really heavy, the jaws are poorly built, rough in the moulding and misaligned with each other. Also note, the butt connectors supplied are rated at 22ga at the smallest, while the crimp tool states that it can only go down to 20ga

Its decent with a bit of elbow grease
Its a decent kit for the price, and if you catch the crimp right, it makes a nice solid connection. The heat shrink is a nice touch too. However, I do have a few complaints about this tool. Sometimes, you wont grab the metal sleeve right, and it doesn't crimp right. The wire will slide right out, and the butt crimp is wasted. If one end crimps well to a wire, and the other end fails, you're screwed; you'll have to chop a bit of the wire off and try again (always be sure to crimp the most expendable wire first for that reason). And forget trying to cut the buttcrimp itself, I tried that and my dikes exploded, sending sharp bits flying across my garage and leaving the connector in tact (which is actually a really good thing when its properly connected)But my biggest complaint is how hard the crimps can be to make. Sometimes I have to put all my weight into making the crimp go all the way; one time I had to step on the handles to crimp a blue one. This thing could really use some better leverage; maybe some longer handles.Other than that, I consider it to be a great tool. It fits neatly into my toolkit and beats trying to solder every connection on a wiring harness. When properly crimped and heat applied to the buttcrimp, it can look like an OEM connection, but sometimes it just misfires

For securing wires, crimping and heats shrinking should be used together.
It is better to use the crimping and heat shrinking methods together to secure wires inside the connectors.1. After several trials with the pink AWG 16-22 connectors, using some AWG 20 stranded wires, the wires could be pull out quite easily after several shakes. Because of the wires I tested usually didn't come out from my first pulls, the wires were clamped by the connectors, but the contacts were not strong enough to withstand several shakes.2. On the other hand, after crimping the wires, and applying heat to shrink the connectors, the wires wouldn't come out no matter how hard I pulled the wires.I haven't tried other gauges of connectors, but I think the same concept could apply.

Great tool and value
I previously used a cheap pair of squeeze style crimpers and always hated crimp connections as the wire would often pull out. I’m very happy I upgraded to this ratcheting set- the tool is very easy to use and crimps come out much better. The included connectors are an added bonus that made this an excellent value.
