Performance for cheap!
Great looking cables. Very thick, and sharply finished with good ends. I had to tighten the black/red covers on all ends, but the set screws were tight and all the connections were solid. Very good grip in the plugs, very secure. Perfect length and flexibility.10ft of 14 awg ofc(oxygen-free copper) for $11 a piece, means these are far cheaper than buying a spool of the equivalent wire and connectors. They're obviously just off-the-shelf parts put together nicely, but they're priced like it and perform very well. Why pay for a 50ft spool of proper OFC cable, when I could just buy quality, factory finished OFC cables for cheap? These sound at least as good as the 14 awg cca wire I was using before, and better than the cheap 16 awg ofc I was experimenting with. I thought the 16 awg ofc would sound better than the 14 awg copper clad, but it was actually worse. These Monoprice cables are possibly better than both.I'm using Polk Monitor II 60s in the front, 50s in the rear, and a CS1 center. Both 60s are using two sets of these cables each. So 14 awg ofc at 10ft. The rears are using 14 awg cca cable at ~35ft. I really should be using 12 awg for copper clad at that distance, but it seems to pass the test if I mute the fronts and listen on the rears. They sound fine in movies and good for 4 channel stereo music. The center is 125W and uses a ~6 ft run of the same copper clad 14 awg. I'm feeding everything with a Yamaha RX-V663 A/V receiver with a theoretical 95wpc. More like 60 or 70wpc, but still fairly capable and can do bi-amping for my front pair. My source is a Creative ZxR sound card. My setup sounds pretty good, and my fronts with these cables are the shining jewel!Overall these are a much better buy than messing around with cheap cable. They're no super fine quality $400 cable or anything but they are a solid set of 14 gauge cables nonetheless. They are as transparent in my setup as any cable has ever been.If you already have big gauge OFC wire with banana plugs for your speakers, there's not much point in buying this. If you have been using or are considering cheaper cable, these are much better.

Excellent, affordable speaker wire!
This is pretty good speaker wire for the price. It's braided and has the banana plugs already installed. It's relatively inexpensive and looks the part of higher grade speaker wires, and already has banana plugs installed. If you are looking for professional cable management with custom runs, then this isn't for you. If you just want a simple, ready-to-go set of wires, with good looks, at an affordable price, then these are for you.I'm using these with my Yamaha RX-A3070 receiver for my home theater, as well as in my legacy Yamaha receiver in the bedroom, and attached to my Emotiva BasX 150w amplifier going to some bookshelf speakers in my office. I haven't had a single problem with any of the runs. They seem to be great quality.

Good Inexpensive Cables
These are a far value. You could make your own cables for less but these are ready made saving you trouble finding good banana plugs, soldering the connectors, adding a braided sleeve, etc. All in all, a good choice for inexpensive cables. The good:Copper wireDecent banana plugsWell madeGood braided sleeves for protectionValueThe bad:They lack advanced shielding of nicer cables. They lack the filtering network of more advanced cables.Performance comparable to stock copper cable available in bulk from home centers.I use these cables to demo mid-levl systems. If you're looking for a quality standard cable, this is a good one.

Well-made and affordable
These are nicely made cables with excellent banana plug connectors that make a snug, solid connection. Cables don’t really have a “sound” unless they’re poorly made or ill-suited for the job, but the signal quality here is transparent. Monoprice makes good cable. No snake oil, just great quality at a good price.

Improved my speakers' sound
Easy to use. Jut plug and play. Replaced my old jumble of wire. Much appreciated.

Ok but not great
They seem to have tendency to get grungy on surtain parts of recordings. Like midrange guitar with voices.. used with small Polk speakers n fosi d amp. my old bare wire radio shack cables seem to not do that . But I did like the build quality. It could also be the speakers interaction with the cables. Most time I enjoyed them . So don't stay away because of my review. Might work better with ur system.

Seem Great.
These seem like great cables. We have a situation where we wanted to use them on surround speakers. The specific use was to cut them in half as we wanted cables that were slightly less than a foot long.Someone said in an answer to a question that they cut these in half and it worked good for them. I am a perfectionist type and so bought one cable to try what this person did. It worked fine other than the cable outer coat is woven fabric string of some sort so it unraveled and was a mess leaving the clear plastic covering the inner conductor showing. This was easily overcome by using some red and black heat shrink pieces on the cut ends and it made a clean finish that also marked the polarity of the cable, not that at this length it was needed to.There was comments on other reviews that screws were loose and such, we bought more of these to do the install and all of the cable ends were tight and fine, we checked because of other reviews and glad we did. These cables are two separate lengths of wire held into a "pair" configuration from loosely shrunk clear heat shrink tubing in three places by three inch or so long pieces.Overall a nice setup, we tossed the third clear heat shrink piece and kept one clear piece on each of the cables we adapted and it really is a nice look.

Very cool, work as advertised
I would have given these 5 stars except that half of them were partially disassembled upon arrival. Not a huge issue, as I was able to just screw them back together, but on the ones that were unscrewed on both sides it added some work to trace the end to end to ensure red went to red etc
