Love these.
Okay, not for everyone but I love the flavor and the sharp tang of ginger in these. Great cookie company, and these are rather unique.

Great-tasting multi-purpose oatcakes
First of all, as Amazon continues to conflate reviews for various items under the listing for one item, let me make clear that this review is for the "Walker's Shortbread Highland Oatcake Crackers." Secondly, don't be confused by this name. The company is called "Walker's" and the words "Shortbread" and "Crackers" have apparently been inserted for marketing purposes. These are neither shortbread nor crackers but rather oatcakes, which can best be described as a cross between the two. They haven't been made with butter and they contain very little sugar, so they're not buttery and sweet like shortbread. They contain very little sugar but they also contain very little salt, so they're not really like crackers either. They're not like cakes and they're not at all like Scandinavian crispbread. They're unlike the oatcakes made by Nairn's - which are harder and more bland, more like English water crackers - probably because the Walker's contain a little sugar but the Nairn's contain no sugar at all. The Walker's may also have a slightly more delicate texture than Stockan's oatcakes, though the Stockan's are also delicious.Oat flour is slightly sweet to begin with, and these oatcakes make a great snack unembellished. Great with honey, jam, or roasted hazelnut butter (better than almond or peanut). When I want to wash down something sweet with my Darjeeling, I spread hazelnut butter on one oatcake and raspberry jam on another and then sandwich them. My craving is satisfied, and I'm not tempted by a handy supply of ready-made cookies. The Subscribe & Save price for these is great, and every package in the lot that I received shows a very long expiration date.

Not receiving the 6 boxes in one package, only receiving 1 box
I ordered this twice and both times we received only 1 box, instead of the stated 6 boxes that were supposed tobe delivered. We ordered this a few months ago and got the 6 boxes as shown. Will not be ordering again.

Walkers or Nairns?
These are great. (Walker's Oat Crackers, box of 6) They taste similar to NAIRN'S Fine Oatcakes, but have: added sugar, wheat, and skim milk solids. The sugar, milk, and wheat give them a slight taste of graham crackers, as opposed to basic oatcakes. About 2 teaspoons of sugar per box -it's there, but not al lot. Just enough to taste an ever so slight sweetness, and make the taste more familiar to people expecting a sweetened cracker. These are also only $3 box, which is why I bought them (times are tough- lol). And they arrive faster than Nairn's, which seem to get shipped from across the Atlantic when ever I order them. These are a stop gap in my cupboard until I order more Nairn's Rough Oatcakes, which of course, are the BEST!
