Our umbrella didn't blow away
We used this in the UK (where people usually use windbreaks rather than parasols on the beach) and our parasol was one of the only ones on the beach that didn't get blown over.

Good for soft sand but struggled on stonier beach
Good for the money and hold parasol really well once you get it deep enough but struggled to get in sand with a lot of stones in it.Would be a 5 star product if the corkscrew blades were upgraded to twist in sand easier.

Easy to set up
Was easy to screw into sand and was very sturdy we had a sun umbrella in it when it was windy and held very well

Sizing is wrong far to small even though it was supposed to be large poor quality material
Everything poor quality material and the size was small even though I ordered large it took weeks to arrive and no return post address it went in the bin !

Needs a tapered end
Well made and sturdy. Would do better with a tapered end and a few more threads for easier insertion. I have used this five times on the beach starting off in dry sand. It takes a bit of work screwing in but once there does a great job even in 26mph gusts. It would benefit from having some sort of protective cup to insert the parasol pole in just to prevent the tightening screw from crushing the pole. In non breezy conditions it doesn't have to be tightened so much. The diameter of the holder is much more than the standard beach parasol pole.

Brilliant for beach umbrellas
After chasing my umbrella across the beach I finally bought this deviceI saw many people at the beach with these umbrella supportsVery sturdy and easy to use two handles to help screw it into the sand (works also on a shingle beach)would hugely recommend this product
